PEACH OF A PIE Recipe By :

Ingredient -- Preparation Method
In a heavy saucepan, combine cornstarch, water,
corn syrup and lemon juice. Mix well and continue to stir over high
heat until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat and continue to cook
and stir approximately 3 min. longer. Remove from heat
and stir in jelly powder. Cool this mixture to luke warm.
Quickly peel and slice peaches, add to cooled sauce. Mix gently,
but thoroughly to coat all slices, transfer filling to the baked pie shell.
Refrigerate at least 2-3 hrs. Before servering, garnish with slightly
sweetened ice cream. Opition: Add 1/2 tsp. almond flavouring to cooling
jello.

Red Lentil Turnovers Recipe By :

Ingredient -- Preparation Method
Mix all dough ingredients together; wrap in
plastic and cool for one hour. In a medium saucepan, heat oil over
medium high heat. Cook onion for 2-3 min. Add carrot, lentils,
basil, bay leaf, vegetable broth, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to
medium. Cover and cool until lentils are tender, about 25 minutes.
Drain and discard bay leaf. Set aside to cool. Roll out dough
to 1/8 " thickness. Use a 5 in. saucer and cut out circles.
Top with 1/4 c. of lentil mixtue. fold over and seal. Bake at 350
deg. for 20 min., or until browned. Serve with tomato or mushroom
sauce. Yield 10-12. Serve as an appy with a few dips such as hummus
or as an entree with a soup or salad.

CHEMICAL GARDEN FOR CHILDREN Recipe By :

Ingredient -- Preparation Method
Mix the above together. Pour over clinker,
brick or coal and place in a shallow dish (dinner plate for pie plate-
glass). Coat edges of dish with vaseline to prevent growth from creeping
over edges. Dab clinker with colored ink or food coloring. (if coal
has been sprayed, scrub and let dry as the spray ingrdients may prevent
growth.) Pour mixture over brick, or whatever you have chosen to
use. Such fun to watch. It growns over several days.
