Common Reasons for Downloading Problems
1. If you have a 56k modem connection , you may just
have to be patient. It can sometimes take up to
5 minutes for the animation to download completely. Or if its playing very slow
after its downloaded, try
rebooting Windows.
2. Windows media player may need to be updated. You can
update from Microsoft's website
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/
3. Internet Explorer may need to be updated to IE 5.5
or higher. Find what version by Clicking
the Help menu at the top right , click on about Internet Explorer to find the
version. You can download
the latest version at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/ie6/default.asp
4. The default media player on your system may not be
windows media player. Other media players may not play
the animation correctly.
5. Aol media player seems to have some difficulties downloading
the animation as well. I'm not exactly sure but
it may be something with the streaming of the animation. Try downloading the
animation to the hard drive (right click
the link , choose Save target and pick the destination on your computer). Then
try playing the animation.
If you checked all the above and still having problems.
Then the only two things I can think of , would be a Network
problem or windows isn't functioning properly.
