My 2 famous encounters during VMA week here in NYC

My first encounter that week 9/7/99:
On 9/7/99, 2 days before school started for Heather and I, I was in my room when I heard my DJ from Z100 say that Jorden Knight was going to perform Live for free in Union Square Park in Manhattan to help celebrate VMA on 9/9/99. I immediately started making plans for me to go. But I was thinking that it would be better to go with heather so I called her up and I asked her if she wanted to come with me. So we left home around 12pm in the afternoon and we got there but we didn't see anybody there except for like 3 groups of girls and the crew of MTV setting up the stage and stuff. I went to ask this lady worker for MTV if this was the place Jorden Knight was supposed to perform, and she said "Yes it is". I found out later from this worker guy that they were going to open up the gates to the crowd so we can go all the way to the stage and see Jorden perform. Ok, so it was proabably 2pm when we saw VJ yanada dressed in a green tube top and tight blue jeans. Then after that, a while later we see Jorden coming in dressed in a purple shirt walking towards the stage and then these girls start screaming and he was all smiles and waving his hands around. Heather and I where taking pix of it. Jorden was doing sound checks and stuff and he looked really cute. Then it was about 3:30 and the whole concert thing began. The gates open and everyone, including us, where running towards the stage. When we got there, Heather and I were 4th in row. Then somehow I slipped myself to 2nd row and heather went to thrid row. Then Jorden was there saying hi and then his choreographer (who also is the the choreographer for Nsync)came out and said hi also. Then we had a few minutes to spare and Jorden started singing a song from New Kids On The Block. Heather was like "OMG i <3 that song". Then Jorden started singing "New Kids On The Block Had A Bunch Of Hits"...then the crowd started singing "Chinese food makes me sick"....lol that was funny, he started laughing. Then the show started...JOrden sang his 2nd single "I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man". Then we took pictures of that! He was soooo cute! Then Heather ran out of film and we had time to buy another roll of film but if we even attemp to leave that crowd, there was no way in life we were going to be able to return to our spots! so we were calling this worker from MTV and ask him to send one of his many interns to buy a roll of film for us. But he didn't so we couldn't take pictures of jorden when he was singing his 1st HIT single "Give It To You", witch by the way was sooooo hot! Joren changed his cloths, and then during the song, he took off his shirt and he had a tank top and it look sooo good on him!!! He was dancing all around! and then it started to rain, witch looked soooo good on him! He even did a AJ, that means, Jorden humped the floor...lol. All in all that day was soo cool! When the sow was over, we left and went behind the stage an we waited to see if jorden was proabalt going to come out an sign autographs, but he didn't. Heather and I had lots of fun! And the pictures came out GREAT!

My Second Encounter during that week 9/9/99:
It was the begining of school, and i had half a day, so i made a plan to go to the MET, where the VMA was going to be at, to see if i can get a glimpse of BSB. So i asked my friend Kadisha if wanted to go and so we went together around 11am. When we got there, there was already a crowd, but we mangaged to get in the front of the baracades. After we got into place, i told Kadisha to hold my spot while i leave to go buy a camara. When i was coming back, i found out where SMash mouth was staying at. anyway, when i got back, i saw Carson. All the girls were screaming when they saw him come to the red carpet. I screamed out to carson, i was like "Hey Carson, I love your eyes" then he looks at me and says "Thank you" then i was like, "Can you give me an autograpgh" and he was like "yah sure but let me do this first". He was doing and interview with a fan. anyway this guy was asking where we came from and i was like "i'm from Queens" a,d my friend was saying "i'm form Brooklyn" and then he asked these three blond girls where they where from and they said Ohio. So the guy was looking for out of towners who came to see the VMA personally. Anyway, carson came to them, so he was right next to me! he was talking to them and i was right there listening to him talk. (Note to all, I am not a really big fan of Carson Daly, but he is cute and he did interview the Backstreet boys!) I kept compimanting him on his beautiful eyes!. He is very tall to. SO then Kadisha and i gave him school paper to sign his autograph for us. Then i took pictures of him! then he went and did another interview and then he looks at me and nods ok meaning i can take a picture of him now. Well all in all i took 4 great pix of carson amd i met him and got his autograph. I never did get to meet the Backstreet boys. I had to leave cause those police people where telling us to leave across the street. So i was like, Nah, forget, i'll see them better from TV then where i was now standing. I later found out that the BAckstreet Boys where staying at the Royal hotel here in the city, thanx to my frind shannon who told me.

This picture was when he was talking to these 3 girls from OIHO because MTV was going to interview them and ask them questions about Will Smith concerning a VMA noimnation that WILL wasn't nominated for.
