4/4/01: Ok, lets get the ball rolling here. Our top story today: Game Boy Advane, but first the fate of Nintendo64 and Dreamcast. Ever since the Playstation came out the Next Gen 3D system bout was bound to happen. And it did. N64 was leading over Playstation a little at N64 launch, then they about evened out. Sega Saturn was out at the time and it sucked. But the battle of N64 and PS1 was strong, and Playstation has been taking the lead latley because N64's lack of amazing games. But when Dreamcast came out it was an amazing thing, it was in the fight, but only for a few months. Games and price deafeted Dreamcast in the end and then PS2 came out, but with bad games. So now the battle between N64 and PS1/2 has been favoring PS because it has two systems. And the reason I bring this up is because Game Boy Advance will play a major part in this......
The main thing about GBA is it has incredible power and its small. The system is running at very high framerates and has insane graphics. The portable world will be ruled by Nintendo when this happens, and Playstation has nothing in that area. Plus the incredible love of Pokemon will bring in many players, plus other great games like Tony Hawk Advance and many more. Ther system is about the size of a GBC but horizontal, and way better everything. More colors, faster, larger screen, better sound, more battery time worth, and every dam other things you could think of. The only setback is that they could not incorperate a 3D engine chip, but they can come very close, a little better than Starfox on Super Nintendo.
In other news, Nintendo's Gamecube will be released sometime soon and the battle of the New Gens will return. Although Sega has actually officially anounced they are pulling out of the console buisness and only make games for other systems. Sega's two top games, Virtua Fighter and Sonic are going equally to Nintendo and Playstation, Nintendo getting Sonic. The Gamecube has brung very promissing games and its graphics system seems to run on the kind of engine we need, a constant smooth rate system. Think about the smooth graphics of Playstation Cinamas, now tone it down a bit and there is Gamecube. It also seems it will be able to sport the best lens flares like Nintendo did, with insane lighting affects. More on that later. This is Bud bidding farewell, join us nextime as we discuss the pros and cons of the New systems, and a small report on the Microsoft console, X-box.
