Blood Red Smile

Feels like yesterday
Met an angel in a North End café
Sunlight follows her through the door
Her words are poetry, ever so pure
Obsidian locks frame her face
Hearts wither in the shadow of her grace
In her eyes, gypsies dance
I’m drowning in a Siren’s trance
When she comes to me
And she always comes to me
I can read my name in her smile
In her
Her blood red smile
Our eyes converse in cryptic verse
A taste too brief to sate my thirst
Her body sheathed in sable
She’s the beauty in a beastly fable
She’s the star of my fantasy
Our bodies embrace in ecstasy
She’s the twilight bride, and I the groom
On this sacred night, our passions bloom
When she comes to me
And she always comes to me
I can read my name in her smile
In her
Her blood red smile
When she comes back to me
And she always comes back to me
I know I’m the one who’ll make her smile
Her smile
Her blood red smile
Her blood red smile
Her blood red
Smile
