Final Fantasy Anthology was released on October 13, 1999, and is selling out fast in my area (Canada, bc, vancouver).
Parasite Eve II
Yup, I've seen some images from the game, and all I can say is that it's even more gross and sickening than the first.
CG movies, made by rookies, are VERY VERY good. VERY realistic. But... when it's not a movie, the graphics, are pretty.. ok.
Maybe a pic of what I'm talking about next time. Out in Japan in December this year. [America:: ??]
Final Fantasy IX - the last?????
FF9 is currently in the making, and promises to be better than FF8 (of course.. it gets better everytime, rite??) I don't know if it's on PSX1, or PSX2.
A maginzine I've browsed through says PSX2, another says PSX1. It is also rumored that FF9 will be the LAST FINAL FANTASY GAME MADE (!!!), with the Final Fantasy Movie
ending it all off....

Final note on Final Fantasy Anthology
WILL have FF5, which NEVER came to North America, and FF6, which is actually FF3 here in America for the Super Nintendo.
UPDATE on "Final Fantasy: The Movie":
The story takes place in the year 2065, and WILL NOT be based on any Final Fantasy, from the past or in the future, but will continue the story of life and death.. like the other FF games.
And as usual, new and unusual weapons etc and forms of transportation will be introduced, including some laser guns and hover bikes.
Here's what Jun Adia, the producer, has said: "There are heroes like the special forces soldiers who try to save the world; there are scientists, and some love interests. The theme comes down to if we can't love one another, we can't solve this (problem) cooperatively to save the world."
All the characters will be American born, though from different races. It is rumored that the main character will be named "Grey", and will look like Brad Pitt.

The movie, due in theatres in the summer of 2001, have confirmed some voice actors:
Alec Baldwin, Ving Rhames, Ming-na Wen, James Woods, Donald Sutherland, Steve Buscemi and Peri Gilpen. So far, Baldwin will probably be the lead.
Will be about aliens invading the Earth..........

It is scheduled for shipping for North America on Winter 1999, published by Square Electronic Arts. And "promises to become the benchmark for RPGs on the PC."
Final Fantasy Anthology
It is also scheduled for shipping for North America on Winter 1999, but is for Playstation.
It includes a remastered FF5 and FF6.

Yes, it's very official... since November 1998. The new movie will not be from any other old Final Fantasy series, and will be completely computer animated.

yep.. an anime movie company has picked it up. But since the game was orignally from a movie, which was from a novel, the company has
agreed to either dub or subtitle it. And this is the same company that brought Evangelion to America.
