On July 29th, 1974, the world received news that Cass Elliot had dyed at her home in London. The cause was at first said to be that she had choked on a ham sandwich. Despite the coroner's report that it had been a heart attack, the ham sandwich rumor had spread like wildfire. To this day most people think that it was the sandwich. The thing that has to be the most insulting is the fact that it's usually thought of as a joke. It seems to me that it isn't funny at all.
Even Austin Powers made fun of the Ham Sandwich Theory, which is the ONLY thing that I don't like about him [face it, he's shagedelic!].
In closing, IT WAS NOT A HAM SANDWICH THAT KILLED CASS. IT WAS A HEART ATTACK. Thank you.
