Alone I walk the sands,
Cool water kissing my feet,
Waves reaching out, like giant
hands,
To pull me to their deep.
A single gull soars overhead,
Its cry a mournful sound,
As the sea beckons me to its
watery bed,
The sands shift, I'm losing
ground.
Winds whisper
to my lonely ear,
As daylight turns dust,
"Let go of your earthly
sphere,
Let the sea capture and fulfil
your wanting lust."
Water crashes, then spreads to
grasp my gown,
As they retreat, I sink in the
fine sand,
Winds whisper,
"Let go, lay yourself down,
Reach for the next wave it
offers its hand."
Wanting to feel the passion of
love,
I look to the shore, for a sign
to appear,
Should I answer the wind as it
speaks from above,
Let go of this world as the
next wave draws near.
Scared to leave, yet wanting to
feel,
White water licking my place of
desire,
I let the wave embrace me,
sensations real
Feelings aroused, my soul
lifted higher.
I look to the shore, as I've
done many times,
As the roar of the waves, takes
over my being,
Winds whisper,
"Let go to the sea, its love shines,
Let it encompass your
impassioned feeling.
A figure appears riding through
the waves,
A Knight on horseback, bends
and lifts me,
"M'Lady what is it that
your heart craves,
Tell it to me, and not to the
sea."
I look into eyes, that spawn a
glowing light,
Arms holding me, safe above the
sea,
Winds whisper,
"Come back, leave this Knight,
You're to live in the waters,
they will set you free."
Delirious emotions capture my
soul,
As we ride with determination
to the shore,
"M'Lady, allow me to make
you whole,
Allow me to touch your inner
core."
The roar of the sea fades, as
the night grows dark,
He has abducted my being,
spoken words of lust,
Winds whisper,
"Don't be fooled by a wanting spark,
The sea wants you and you will
return, you must."
