An experience you never forget. NSD was told that the dancers were required to ride horses bareback. As most of us never rode a horse nevertheless bareback it was interesting. Practice after practice we rode and fell off occasionally but we just got back on again. The arrival in Germany was wonderous. First time out of the country in an environment totally new and a language we did not understand. It helped to have guides with us and we learned that the German people are extremely helpful with our daily lives. It ended up that we did not need to ride the horses but it was fun learning trick riding bareback.
