Confolen France Festival
Traveling to France and representing Canada for the first time in over 30 years was like a dream. For 2 weeks we performed day and night. It was hard work but the fantastic memories gained will last a lifetime. Hopefully we can return one day to Confolen for work or pleasure. |
Onstage was amazing
Most of the members of the group had never danced on television,(it was broadcast across France)but we gave it our all. The main celebration night was awe inspiring. They had a couple that did acrobatics. They had a pet fruit bat that flew on cue from on top of a building to his arm. I got to meet this fruit bat, he grabbed my arm and thought I was a treat.LOL. Fireworks flew overhead, loud clammering, while we watched I personally thought,'this is amazing that a small town person would be here in France representing Canada.' Forever this is a happy thought in my life. The most hardest work from noon til 2am some days, it was all worth it! |
Confolen Stage
Clammering to the front of the stage we looked out into the audience through a side curtain. Excited and scared meant a great performance lied ahead. Each dancer was in perfect harmony with each other. No mistakes made, the lights flashed around us as the fog surrounded us. Each person out of breath but we danced to a standing ovation. This is something you never forget. |
