My name is Richard Todd. I'm 55 (has anyone else admitted to being that
old?) and have been canoeing open canoes for 40 years. Some day I'll get
it right, but in the mean time I have fun trying. I've tried kayaking,
but I've got a stiff frame that doesn't allow me to have proper posture
in a kayay, Too bad, but I'll take solace by carrying on with my paddling.
I'm a writer, a music critic actually, am married and have two young sons
and two adult daughters. I lead trips every summer, or organize them anyway.
I've made a number of friends that way, but am always looking for more.
