TNA Ratings
The Wrestling Observer
reports TNA had a 1.1 cable rating this week.
It’s the same as last week.
Judas Mesias Out of
Action
It was reported by a media
source from Mexico that Judas Mesias is suffering from sciatica, will be out
several weeks and require physical therapy. He is the current AAA Champion in
Mexico. No word yet on whether the
injury will prevent him from being a part of Bound For Glory next month. Source:
Pro Wrestling Fans.
A follow up to the previous
report of Judas’ injury report: TNA is said to be very concerned after Judas
took a nasty fall off a ladder and was knocked out. Source: www.wrestleview.com.
I did a little checking on this guy and he appears to be an extreme hardcore
wrestler. His being on a ladder and
coming down from the ladder in a dangerous fashion is not surprising. We all hope he is not badly injured and will be in action
again soon.
This from www.lordsofpain.net:
Judas was in a match in Mexico on a ladder inside the ring and he went from the
top of the ladder to the floor outside the ring. No one broke his fall and he
was knocked out. The sciatica mentioned before is apparently not related to this
injury. Judas was to be a main
player in the two-hour iMPACT shows starting in October. His work status is presently unknown although I have read
that he will be out of action for at least three weeks.
I found a video of the
hazardous match on www.pwpix.net. It shows
the leap. Judas is lucky he didn’t break any bones. I can’t believe NO ONE
broke his fall! I realize his match to date, with Eric Young, didn’t show us
how talented he is, but I see potential in this wrestler and his character.
There are several other videos of Judas aka Ricky Banderas on the site. Check
them out to see what kind of risks this wrestler is willing to take!
**Someone reported on a
message board that a wrestler did semi break Judas’ fall, but it is the only
report I have seen indicating anyone else was involved. They also reported Judas
tends to choose dangerous gimmicks in the ring and that he goes all out
especially when it is a championship match. I understand this was a pay per
view.
Kurt Angle Is At It
Again
I did
NOT make up this heading, although I wish I had. Steve Gerweck, www.gerweck.net
gets the credit. It appears Kurt
Angle is now in talks with the IFL in an attempt to get into MMA action. I want
to know if he is going to take the Mrs. along with him to IFL.
Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t he just try to do this and the
other league turned him down? I can’t decide if Kurt thinks he really wants to
be in TNA, he’s mad at Brock Lesnar because he got in and Kurt didn’t, or if
it’s just Kurt’s way of making sure he stays in the spotlight.
Surprise, Surprise
The headline reads Future
of Killings and Pacman Uncertain. Posted
on rajah.com. Jeff Jarrett is still trying to get the Tennessee Titans to let
Pacman wrestle and Killings is only committed through Pacman’s time at TNA.
If Pacman isn’t allowed to wrestle, that may be the end of Killings at
TNA as well.
Junior Fatu does not have a
contract with TNA for whatever reason. He was committed to two tapings but after
that no one seems to know for certain what he will be doing. Source:
LordsofPain.net.
Kevin Nash Back in
Action?
It is reported that Vince
Russo wants to put Nash back in the ring. Dutch Mantel is against the idea but,
according to the report, Jeff Jarrett has the last word. Source: LordsofPain.net.
Another Internet
Pharmacy Busted
The U.S. Attorney’s
office recently busted a St. Louis operation for illegally distributing drugs.
The company is Specialty Distribution Systems, Inc. The New York Daily News
reported that HGH was sent from Specialty Distribution to an
“entertainer/athlete” who is 6’5” and weighs 276 lbs. and to “a well
known athlete in Massachusetts”. It is not clear whether they are referring to
one individual or two separate individuals. Source: Daniel Pena, www.rajah.com.
As the old saying goes
–it ain’t over till the fat lady sings – and it looks to me like the old
gal is just getting warmed up.
Who May Be Leaving TNA
Homicide, Hernandez, Sonjay
Dutt, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley have all expressed interest in leaving TNA.
TNA management has asked them to stay until the two-hour time slot begins
and have assured them they will then get more airtime.
The loss doesn’t mean these men would be trying to jump to WWE, some of
them are interested in wrestling in Japan. Source: www.wrestlezone.com.
The loss of any of these wrestlers would be a great loss to TNA.

Interested in Lucha?
I wasn’t until I noticed
TNA’s latest acquisition, Judas Mesias, wrestled in Mexico.
Gerweck.net has a full Lucha report for September 14 through September
22, 2007. I checked out some of the Lucha websites but all of them are in
Spanish with no translation available in English. My Spanish is limited but you
can do a quick Google search and come up with photos of various participants.
Unfortunately as of this writing I have been unable to find any definite medical
reports for Judas Mesias.
