About the RPPS

The Rockaway Park Philosophical Society was formed by three friends in 1971. Its mission is to spead the true philosophy expressed in the Fullosia. The Society says it exaults the mundane and ridicules the exalted in conformance with the teachings of Rene Chateau Briand who scorned philosophers who prattle about life but don't know how to act in a dime store." The Society encourages and promotes American culure and a new national language American Standard Jive. Read more about The Society 
The First Bonzai, we nipons did say,
was unto certain poor GIs,
on Pearl Harbor Day,

We flew our planes from out of the sun,
and nary a one,
was hit by your guns!

soon all you round eyes are going bye-bye.

To the sunset we looked,
at China our quest,
the ground quaked,
as we swept,

defeating your lackey,
Chang Kai-chek.

At Nanking in china proper,
where a woeful wail is sung,
of unbriddled ferocity,
in deeds we have done.

Through streets inflammed,
Our rampage recalled,
left Nazis engraged,
by bold atrocity.

LordPres Edward M Lord (of Lord) Lord President of The Society and the restored Duke of Sommerset (by Societal vote) authored the First bonzai while reflecting on the Japanese Banking system. Contrary to popular beliefs, His lordship was a great admirer of the Japanese.
