Martin Biron is one of the biggest guys to look for in the future of this Sabres organization. As Hasek leaves, he will be the man to take the role of starting goaltender. He proved himself when Hasek was injured in the 1999-2000 season and he was in the spotlight. He kept the Sabres in the hunt as they played lackluster, and made saves comparable to some of Hasek's. He is great to have - good goaltending seems to be a trend in Buffalo.

Biron played Junior hockey for Beuport and Hull of the QMHL. As his talent progressed he played for South Carolina of the ECHL then went on to Rochester of the AHL. Many may not remember, but Biron played in 3 games for the Sabres in 1995-1996, and completed two of hem, losing both.
