Quickening
had heard of the legendary Paranor since she was a little child. Growing
up in the Wing Hove area, the children practically lived on the legends
and fantasies the elders told them of. Her mother was a teller of the village.
The village would gather around a fire and tell stories of faroff places
and big adventures. Quickening never grew tired of them, especially the
ones of Paranor. Her mother had told her of this Keep since she was old
enough to understand the words. Her mother told her of the great and wise
healer Quickening, and explained to her that she had been named after the
healer. Quickening would pass this story with pride to the other children
of the village, always keeping it in mind that one day she would travel
to the Keep, and become a druid. The years passed, and her mother became
ill. A few months later, she passed away, leaving Quickening with her childhood
friend (Lysia), and her father. She lived with him for years, happy with
him, yet saddened without her mother. As the years passed, the thoughts
and stories of Paranor came alive inside of her head, beckoning her to
them. It was then that she decided to leave. She waited til night, and
crept out, leaving her father and Lysia a letter explaining her departure.
After days of travel, she finally reached Paranor and made many friends.
Unfortunately the pain of lossing friends has greeted her heart many times.
She has lost such close ones as Cephelo, Hebel, Bremen, and Vorn. So much
torment can make any path cloudy and hard to travel, yet there seems to
be one who can light up the path...
Quickening has long, wavey
blond hair that comes down to just below her shoulder blades. Her bright
brown eyes show she is both curious and alert. Her gentle smile hides whatever
pain resides behind it. Her usual wear is black; the traditional druid
robes. Small freckles peek out on her rosey cheeks when sunlight greets
her. Her favorite thing to do, is enjoy the beautiful forest which surrounds
Paranor.
