so what did i think....hmmm.....
*let's analyse*
why it was cool:
because it was hole...duh.
because courtney was dressed like a FAIRY!
because they all looked beautiful
because i got some lovely photos
because i was at the front
because courtney talked lots
because they played 'beautiful son'
because we saw david ryder-prangley (rachel stamp singer) in the crowd
because, damn it, THEY ROCKED!!
why it sucked:
because i have 1000 bruises
because i got crushed by the big people
because i thought i was honestly going to die
because i had to bite some guy cos he was resting his elbow on my head and jumping..and wouldn't move - SO HE GOT BIT
because hole came on late...i was getting real mad at them
because the support were utter shit
because we had to leave before they finished the set, because of the fucking trains
because i was not one of the people who got on stage and danced with courtney
because half the photos i took were of the ceiling
because there were an unbelievable amount of trendies there
because i only saw about 2 other riot grrrls....what was going on?? WHERE WERE YOU ALL????
because the shirts for sale looked like they came out of miss selfridge, and were the seasons 'in-thing'
because hole have turned so mainstream (*(whywhywhywhywhywhy????)*)
because it was in scary brixton
so the bad kinda outweigh the good. it was a good gig, i think it was just a really horrible crowd. i mean, there was a guy in a 'carlsberg extra light' t-shirt INFRONT of me!!!!!!!!! some serious explainations need to be made as to why half these assholes were allowed in. they all looked like they were there just cos all saints (who were playing wembley) had sold out. i mean, fair enough, but these people also like bands like radiohead and pulp, and people (and some friends of mine) who have loved hole for YEARS, and were into them whilst these new bullshit people were making fun of them, COULDN'T GET TICKETS CAUSE THEY'D SOLD OUT.((yeh...they've sold out all right)) PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THIS IS FAIR.
*i've been thinking...you should leave me*
