That's right kiddies!! Us *NSYNC fans cheated to get to the top!! We all decided to go out and buy three CDs so that we could crush the Backstreet Boys record. Didn't you know the song 'Bye, Bye, Bye' really meant 'Buy, Buy, Buy'? How clever is that? BSB isn't smart enough to try that tactic. Whoever said that cheaters never win must have never tried it.
Now as I sit here with all three of my CDs. Wait a minute, where are the other two? Could be that I just bought one? Wait a minute I thought all of us bought three? I thought all of us decided to spend $60.00 (the average of buying three CDs) to buy the new album so they could beat the record. Nevermind the fact that people have been waiting for years for their new album. Nevermind the fact that 'Bye, Bye, Bye' beat the record that 'I Want That Way' held for radio play. We all decided that to buy as many as our piggy banks allowed. Now, I'm not saying that some people didn't buy tons of copies to beat the record. But all we had to do was buy 1.2 million to do that; do you think the extra million was necessary?
Now I understand that BSB fans are just bitter. It's okay, but remember who drew the battle lines first. I'm not going to say when *cough* recent MTV interview *cough* and I'm not going to say who *cough* Brian and Kevin *cough* but I just think that some *NSYNC fans were responding. Now I know the war isn't over and this was just one little battle, but we won!!! Sorry.
Oh... this just in, *NSYNC broke Ticketmaster records for their upcoming summer tour. I guess we all decided to shell out hundreds of dollars for tickets that we didn't need to break that record too. Ah... Cheating sure does feel good.
