Together Again; Syaoran's Return This is the third chapter to an S + S fanfic. If you haven't read the first two parts I suggest you do, it may not make to much sense if you don't. Last time: Sakura goes to bed and has a strange dream. A dream with Rika, Syaoran, and all of her other old friends. But this was no ordinary dream. Strange things were occurring. What do they mean? ****** "Are you positive you don't know who she was Sakura?" Tomoyo asked as they stood at her locker, talking about the dream Sakura had had the night before. "Well, her laughs, and her voice... it sounded, like mine." She explained, trying to remember more of the nightmare. "It was almost exactly like mine. Only, different. You know?" "I know what you mean. But, do you think it was a Clow card?" Sakura shrugged. "That is what I was thinking at first. But I collected all the Clow cards a long time ago. You and I both know that Tomoyo." Tomoyo grabbed her binder and shut the locker. "We should look into this more. If you have any strange feelings or dreams tell me right away." She smiled evilly. "I might have to start buying extra blank tapes again, if you know what I mean." "Oh no! I know what you are thinking and the answer is no! No more taping! Please!" Sakura begged, locking her hands in front of her. "That was so embarrassing!" "There is no reason to be embarrass Sakura-Chan!" Tomoyo's eyes began to glitter, as she became spell bound. "Ho-hoe?" (I feel a speech coming on.) The green eyed girl noticed. "You are the one who protects the people we love and live with! You are the one who keeps this city safe! You let children sleep without worries! You risk your life for everyone! There is no shame in that! Be proud of your power Sakura-Chan! No one can take it away from you!" A ring a roses appeared (only to the viewers) around Tomoyo, and a soft chime can be heard in the distance. "Plus, you look kawaii!" Sakura face faulted, falling to the ground with a thump. "Ouch!" She stood back up and brushed the dirt off of her school uniform. "Fine! I give up!" You can tape my fights... If there are any." They agreed to tape any fighting that goes on, and separate to go to their classes. ****** "Kinomoto, what is the answer to number three?" Mr. Kushiru, Sakura's math teacher asked. Sakura stood up. " 'X' is less than, or equal to, negative twenty-three." She sat back down. "Correct. Mizutani, number four." The teacher continued. ::Yeah, I know. You are probably thinking something like 'Sakura doesn't like math!' or 'How did Sakura answer that so easily? She hates math!' Well, over the years I began to like math. I am now one of the top students in my class.:: "Alright, now students, your homework for tonight is page two hundred thirty-six." Mr. Kushira told the class. "This section is about graphing quadratic functions. You have to do problems one through forty-three odds. There is a short explanation of how to do these problems on pages two hundred thirty-four and thirty-five." As if on cue, the whole class began turning pages and turning to talk to others about the assignment. "Man! He loves to give us lots of homework!" Rika complained to Sakura. "Why can't we have a good teacher like Ms. Deteka?" "I actually like the way Mr. Kushira teaches." Sakura explained. "He makes us figure out how to do the problems by our self. We aren't going to have someone around all our lives to help us with every problem we run into." Sakura noticed that Rika wasn't totally understanding her point of view. Rika just shrugged. "Good point. Well, we better get our stuff together, the bell is about to ring." Sakura got her things together and placed them in a pile. "How are things going between you and Mr. Terada?" A slight blush crept into Rika's cheeks. "Well, we decided to get married this summer!" The bell rang and all the students left the classroom, either going to lunch or to a next class. (Marriage...) Sakura thought. (Rika and Mr. Terada have come a long way over the past five years.) "Hey Sakura-Chan!" Tomoyo yelled from the end of the hall. "You better hurry or you'll be late!" "Coming!" Sakura picked up her pace to get to her next class in time. Choir, one of her favorite periods. "Now students," Ms. Kodansha began, "let's start with our warm ups." She gave a slight wave with her hand, and the group began singing. "The lips, the teeth, the tip of the tongue. The lips, the teeth, the tip of the tongue..." Every time they sang the phrase they went up a note higher. Ms. Kodansha gave another twist of her hand, signaling the singing to stop. "Okay, that was very good. We are now going to be holding auditions for the solo in the song, "Life is a road" written by our very own Sakura Kinomoto. Sakura blushed as everyone clapped. "Thank you." "Who wants to go first?" Ms. Kodansha asked. Jun raised her hand. "I will go first!" She ran up to the teacher, grabbed the music, and began to sing from the first line she saw, which, was located on page two. "I'll be there when the world stops turning!" A blast of sound escaped her throat as she sang with an opera voice. "I'll be there when the-" "Thank you Jun! That is enough, you can go sit down now." Jun turned and made her way back to where she stood in the second row, a huge smile of victory on her face. Tomoyo raised her hand. "How about we let Sakura go next?" She exclaimed. "She is the maker of the song you know." Ms. Kodansha clapped her hands together. "That is a wonderful idea!" Sakura walked up to the front of the class, and began at the first line. "We were strangers, starting out on a journey, never dreaming..." She continued until the guy's part of the song. Everyone stood, jaw dropped, as Sakura walked back next to Tomoyo. "I didn't do very well, did I?" Sakura asked, as Tomoyo came back to the real world. "No! Not at all! You were great!" She said enthusiastically, "There is no doubt, you are getting the part!" Sakura smiled. "Arigato." ****** "So, did you get the part?" Chiharu asked, flinging her baton into the air and easily catching it. Sakura winked at her. "Yup!" Chiharu through her baton to the sky and jumped onto Sakura, rapping her in a tight hug. "I'm so happy!" "Thanks." Sakura chocked out, as her breath caught in her throat. "but, c-could you... please, let g-" she was cut off short as her baton cam down, crashing on her head. Immediately followed by Chiharu's. "Oh! I'm sorry!" Chiharu screamed, dropping Sakura from her grasp. Sakura smiled up at her. "No problem." "Kinomoto, grab your baton, get up, and continue. Same goes for you." Their Sensei ordered, nodding to Chiharu. "We don't have time for naps, and we have no room for slackers!" Sakura and Chiharu grabbed their batons and stood up. "Hai, Sensei. Gomen." Practice continued for another hour, then finally ended for the day. All the girls packed up and started home. "I can't wait to tell everyone the good news!" Sakura chimed as she walked down the sidewalk with Chiharu. "They will be ecstatic!" Chiharu nodded. "I'm sure they will! Well, here is my stop." Chiharu replied. "See you tomorrow!" Sakura waved to her as she walked away. "You too!" ****** Okay, after a long time, I have
