WHEN THEY GET BACK, THERE'S GONNA BE THREE DAYS OF BREAK LEFT FOR THEM TO UNPACK AND REST UP ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------- Chapter 13 Everybody woke up at a bright and beautiful morning with a full smile! (except for Syaoran. He still couldn't smile, but once in a while he does.) Today, Sakura has made pancakes for everybody. Of course, it was delicious, but then, Mei Wu had to make this little remark that ticked everyone off, "Syaoran, you are one lucky guy to have Sakura as your girlfriend. Not only is she the Card Mistress, she can cook real well. You'll never starve with her around." "Can you shut up about the girlfriend part?" "Mei Wu, I don't think any of us would like to experience last night's ordeal all over again. Don't tick the brat off to the point he leaves the house, then Sakura follows, then a monster appears, then we all try to help, BARELY ESCAPING WITH OUR LIVES IF IT WEREN'T FOR GLORI-ELLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus, it's Sunday, I don't think she wants to wake up this early in the morning just to save our butts again," Kero-chan said. Mei Wu just sat their. "Thank you," Sakura smiled. "You know, you've been throughout Hong Kong, and through our house, but you never really did been through the backyard have you?" Syaoran asked. "Wow, I guess not. Why don't you show Tomoyo and me around your backyard?" "Sure" "Whattabout you Mei? Mei?" Sakura asked. Over in the corner, were Tomoyo, Mei, and the rest of Syaoran's sisters. They seemed to be hovering over something. Interested. Syaoran and Sakura went to see what was so curious while Kero-chan and Mei Li was sipping tea and enjoying the morning rather than facing chaos and cat fights. "What is so inter-" Syaoran said, but stopped of what he heard and saw. Mei, how'd you do this?" Mei Ra "I didn't know you had the guts in you" Mei La "I couldn't help it, I just had to do it. This is a very simple spell actually. I found it in one of my magic books. You see, the video camera actually disguises itself to look like a firefly (remember that firefly I told you about that was hanging around? ^_^) Then all the recordings are transmitted into this crystal ball to play it for us as much as I want" Xiao Mei said. "Wait a minute, I thought, Dad gave me all of his books!" Syaoran said. "Little brother, Father may have given you most of the books with the complex stuff, but he did give me some of his books. My books however, only contain simple spells. Usually useless for combat or research, but very delighting for everyday life. But then, there was one book he gave me that was full of research, combat spell, etc. He gave it to me before he died. Why not you? Well, little brother, when you were just a just an eensy toddler, your older sis' would go in his library and research hours, learning magic. Heck, all the books he gave you, I already memorized every word. All the books, I memorized except for this one. This is why he at least gave my one useful book." Xiao Mei explained. "Did you hack away and memorized it all?" Syaoran asked. "No, I had training. I was sent to America. There, I learned some Western magic. Not a lot though. Usually, Western magic require human sacrifices. I'm not into that. I just learned the elemental (fire, wood, water, etc.) NON-SACRAFICIAL spells, and of course, the simple easy spells. When I have spare time, I would either look at my magic book, or go relaxing." Xiao Mei said. "Okay, okay, no need to learn your entire past, let's go to the back yard. Right this way ladies," Syaoran sighed. (Now, Syaoran's family is rich, really rich. They have a humungous house. And their backyard is HUGE. How do I know you ask? Well, if any of you seen CCS the 1st Movie, and episode 43, that's how I knew.) There were varieties of beautiful trees and flowers in there. There were cute little creatures like squirrels, birds, bunnies, etc. Sakura explored the backyard, while Syaoran just took a nap on a tree. Kero-chan was enjoying a nice portion of pudding nearby. Tomoyo as usually was videotaping Sakura. Xiao Mei, was also on a tree, but not taking nap. She was enjoying the nice peaceful quietness tranquility. "Yue would've liked this," Sakura shouted from below. "You mean the non-sentimental judge?" Mei shouted back. "He's not that bad" Sakura said. "From what I've heard, he is." "Why don't you meet him?" "I could've met him anytime, I mean, my boyfriend IS him" "Good point" "How come he doesn't appear anymore?" "Probably because Yuki was never with us when the monsters appear. He thinks we're safe and happy, so he's taking a snooze." "I'll give it a shot and meet him. Sometimes he seems weird to me though" "How?" "The way he lets his hair grow. It's even taller than him! 'Get a haircut' that's what'd I say. How does he survive without eating? I know, I know, he gets the energy from you, etc. Yue really does have to learn to eat." "Why?" "What's the point on having a stomach if you're not gonna use it? One day, I'm going to cook something, and shove it in his mouth" "That's a funny idea" LATER THAT NIGHT, WHEN DINNER WAS SERVED "Mother, is Yue cruel?" Mei asked. "Cruel is a strong word Mei. Sure, he can be merciless when he judges you..." Mei Li said. "Oh you have no idea how merciless he can be...." Syaoran and Sakura said. "But he is kind" Mei Li "Fat chance" Syaoran "Well, there are times when he's nice" Sakura "And why does he let his hair grow so long? Is he really that old?" Mei asked. "No silly, I don't know either why he let's is grow. Ask him when you see him" Mei Li said. "Fine, does he ever starve? Or maybe have tummy aches? At least a cramp?" Mei "Well, he doesn't eat, that's for sure. I don't know. Just ask him" Mei Li "What do you think of this sisters? I cook something that's really good, and shove it in his mouth" Mei said. The four of them were drinking some water. After hearing that, they spat it all out, and it was all over on Kero-chan. "THAT, was NOT funny" "That was a hilarious idea. You could try it. He might lose his temper and battle you. Shove the food in his mouth, ha ha ha" they said. "I can take him on anytime!" Mei said. "Oh wait 'till you get back in Japan" Syaoran said. When Xiao Mei was in her room, she was looking through her magic book, entitled: Magic, The Past, The Present, The Future.
