Chapter 22

Okay, nobody really tried shoving food into Yue¡¦s mouth. After a
while, Nakuru would not stop hanging around Yukito. Mei was so jealous
that she ordered Yue to become his real form constantly. ¡§I just want some
sleep. Is that too much to ask?¡¨
¡§You can sleep, but not as your other form!¡¨ Mei pouted.
¡§Looks like a certain older sister has a bad case of jealousy,¡¨ Syaoran
smirked.
¡§Hey! You were jealous once when Eriol paid sooo much attention to
Sakura! Heck, it was even a good thing that you didn¡¦t even see him kissing
Sakura¡¦s hand!¡¨ Mei shouted.
¡§YOU WHAT?!¡¨ Syaoran glared Eriol.
¡§Syaoran! Stop it, I let him kiss my hand,¡¨ Sakura whilpered blushing.
¡§WHAT?!¡¨ Syaoran shouted.
¡§He helped me with my teddy bear, so that was his reward,¡¨ she said
blushing more, ¡§Come on, no more grudges! Be friends for crying out loud.
Ever heard of the phrase ¡¥Respect your elders?¡¦¡¨ Syaoran sighed and shook
hands with him. Then Nakuru¡¦s stomach began to rumble. ¡§Eriol, have you
cooked dinner yet?¡¨
¡§Oops, I guess not,¡¨ Eriol smiled.
¡§Take the day off grandpa, I¡¦m gonna cook!¡¨ Mei said.
¡§Will you stop calling me that?¡¨
¡§I¡¦m gonna whip something up especially for you Spinel!¡¨
¡§Well at least SOMEONE actually respects my name besides Eriol!
Thank you Mei,¡¨ Spinel said. Then everybody¡¦s stomach began to rumble
(except Yue¡¦s). ¡§Better get that dinner ready soon!¡¨ Tomoyo said. Mei
shouted a sinister laugh and ran into the kitchen. Then there were noises
that
came from the kitchen, pots clanging, pans frying, popping sounds, and a loud
cackle. Everybody sweatdropped. ¡§Why do I have a feeling that someone¡¦s
going to be poisoned?¡¨ Sakura said. Everyobdy looked at Nakuru. ¡§Nakuru,
I think you shouldn¡¦t be with Yukito so much. Maybe Mei might want to
reconsider, and let you live.....¡¨ Tomoyo said.
¡§Yue, maybe you should turn back to Yukito. I think he¡¦ll be glad to
eat,¡¨ Eriol suggested. When he heard those words, he instantly turned back
to Yukito. ¡§Huh? Where am I? I guess I was sleepwalking.¡¨
¡§Dinner¡¦s almost ready,¡¨ Eriol said.
¡§Great! I¡¦m starved,¡¨ Yukito smiled. There was a delicious aroma
from the kitchen. ¡§How long is this gonna take?¡¨ Syaoran asked.
¡§This is torture!¡¨ Sakura cried. Their mouths were watering. Then
Mei came out smiling, ¡§Everybody take your seats at the dining table, dinner
will be served shortly!¡¨ Eriol, Nakuru, Sakura, Syaoran, Spinel, Kero-chan,
Tomoyo, and Yukito went to the dining table and sat. Mei was pushing a cart
toward the table. There were nine dishes with lids on them. Mei placed each
dish one by one. Sakura had an urge to just lift the lid and chow down, but
she knew better. Then the last dish¡¦s lid was labled Spinel. ¡§This is made
especially for you,¡¨ Mei said. She lifted the lids and sat down. Nakuru
looked at her dinner. She sniffed it. ¡§It¡¦s not poisoned. Don¡¦t worry,
I¡¦m
not THAT jealous over you and Yukito.¡¨ Yukito, Sakura, and Syaoran
choked. Then Nakuru tried it. She loved it, and licked it all to the last
rice.
¡§Want a second helping?¡¨ Mei asked.
¡§Yes please!¡¨ Nakuru smiled. Mei went to the cart to get one of the
lids. She placed the lid over the plate for ten seconds. Then she lifted
it.
And there lay a second helping of rice with curry and shrimp on the sides.
¡§Wow amazing!¡¨ Yukito said.
¡§A little magic trick,¡¨ Mei said, winking at Sakura.
¡§Wait a minute, if Nakuru wasn¡¦t the person that Mei was trying to
poison than who was it? Wait a minute. Wasn¡¦t Spinel¡¦s dinner especially
made for him?¡¨ Tomoyo said. Eveybody looked at Spinnel. He didn¡¦t touch
his dinner yet. This cat was smart, and he was already suspicious. ¡§Come on
Mei, what does the cat have anything against you?¡¨ Yukito asked.
¡§Nothing, it¡¦s just made especially for him. I recomend all of you
though not to tast Spinnel¡¦s curry!¡¨ Mei warned.
¡§Here goes nothing, if I¡¦m poisoned, Eriol, it¡¦s up to you to save me,¡¨
Nakuru said as she dipped her finger into the curry and tasted it.
¡§No!¡¨ Mei shouted. Then Nakuru¡¦s face turned red. Smoke came out
of her mouth. ¡§HOOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOOOOOTTT!!!!¡¨ Then sh
drank a gallon of water. Steam was puffing out of her mouth. ¡§Mei, are you
trying to burn the cat?¡¨ Yukito asked.
¡§No. Spinnel¡¦s favorite food are spicy things, so I concocted this
curry! I call it ¡¥Spinnel Curry!¡¦ Come on Spinnel, try it,¡¨ Mei cooed. He
tried it and fell madly in love with it. ¡§You are right, he does like it!¡¨
Yukito
said amazed.
¡§Meow! Meow!¡¨ Spinnel purred. He couldn¡¦t talk in front of Yukito.
Then dessert came. ¡§Yue! Wake up!¡¨ Mei shouted. Three things: Bright
light, Yukito faints, Yue appears. ¡§Now what do you want?¡¨
¡§I think Spinnel and Kero-chan would enjoy talking right now, so wake
up and smell the fresh air. Let them speak.¡¨
¡§Eriol, can¡¦t you do anything about this?¡¨
¡§Take a nap.¡¨ and Yue flew to the nearest couch and fell asleep.
¡§All right Kero-chan! All right Eriol! I know you guys have a sweet
tooth so I baked all these goodies for you!¡¨ Mei squealed. Plates of cakes,
ice cream, pies, and cookies came rolling in. ¡§I LOVE YOU MEI!!!!!¡¨
Kero-chan cried with joy. ¡§I love your curry Mei. It was delicious. I¡¦ve
never eaten something as spicy as that!¡¨ Spinnel smiled.
¡§Kero-chan! Save some for us!¡¨ Sakura shouted. Let¡¦s say that the
dining table was six feet. Let¡¦s say that there was six feet of sweets. And
let¡¦s also say that Kero-chan already devoured five feet of the sweets before
he collapsed. ¡§Now THAT is one glutton,¡¨ Syoaran said as he helped
himself to some chocolate cake, chocolate pie, chocolate ice cream (I think
all you readers know what I¡¦m trying to point out: Syaoran just loves
chocolate! Heck it¡¦s one of his favorite foods besides Dim Sum), and
chocolate chip cookies.
¡§Do like any other flavors besides chocolate Syaoran?¡¨ Sakura asked.
¡§Chocolate¡¦s my favorite.¡¨ At night, Mei went to visit Yukito. ¡§Hey,
I know you didn¡¦t get a chance to eat any of the sweets, so I brought you
some. I baked another batch for you,¡¨ she said.
¡§Thanks, listen, I know I¡¦m not human. I know why I faint. Don¡¦t
worry so much.¡¨
¡§I know, but what would you say if I can make you into a real human?¡¨
¡§Really?¡¨
¡§Yeah, you don¡¦t need to faint anymore. You don¡¦t need to get all
upset.¡¨
¡§How?¡¨
¡§Tomorrow I¡¦ll talk to the others and see how they deal with it.
Pretend you don¡¦t know, and stay in your room when we talk about it,
actually, you¡¦ll probably transform when we discuss this. Do you want to be
seperated from your other form and become a real human?¡¨
¡§Yes.¡¨
¡§But there¡¦s one price to pay.¡¨
¡§What?¡¨
¡§Everybody at Japan has to forget that you went to England. You¡¦ll
return to your house and everybody will just assume you went to Osaka for a
while.¡¨
¡§I can deal with that, but can you not arrange Touya¡¦s memory? I
really want to tell him the good news.¡¨
¡§I¡¦ll try.¡¨
¡§Thanks.¡¨ They gazed at each other¡¦s eyes. Slowly, and deeply, they
