Chapter 26

“How can this be? If you’re Mei, then who’s?” Syaoran was looking
at the direction of where the other Mei was. She was still there.
Angelina/Mei started chanting, “Being who holds my form, you have done
your duty, I have no use for you for now, disapear!” The Mei that was
standing next to Syaoran turned into a blue marble, and with a pop, it was
gone. “That was a copy of me. I’m very surprised that the great former
Clow Reed or the might Card Mistress could not identify which one of me is
a copy or not,” Mei sighed.
“Right now that’s not important. Why were you hiding this? Who’s
that Draconian? What’s the real story?” questions bursted out of everybody.
“Fine fine, I’ll tell you. I guess this was the time you’ve all’ve been
waiting for. The time that I will tell you everything. All those stories you
heard were true. I failed capturing the monsters and defeating them. Now
I’m going to capture them again, and seal them for good no matter what it
takes.
“About the Draconian, yes, you’re probably wondering what she’s got
to do with it. Well guys, I was the Draconian. I didn’t want to make a
splashy entrance, so I just crept through the window to take the stones. My
only powers are to fly. Since I’m a descendant of Clow Reed, you little
brother should have some kind of power,” Mei explained.
“What about me? How come I never knew all this?” Eriol asked.
“That was because in your past life, you married a Draconian. She
didn’t tell you in fear of losing you. I’m betting you her last words
before she
died was, ‘I’m sorry Clow.......I’m sorry....for lying to you....I’m
a....I’m
a.....Draconi-’ and was cut off by death,” Mei said.
“Yes, that was true, I tried figuring what that was, but I could never
find out what that was,” Eriol said sadly.
“Syaoran, you’re 12, you should be old enough to use your power. Try
hitting that rock with your laser beam by concentrating on using your ability
you have now,” Mei tested. Syaoran sighed, and close his eyes. He
concentrated on zapping that rock. After a while, a light spark shot out of
his
palm and tickled the rock. Mei giggled, “Maybe old enough to at least some
of that ability.”
“Okay, one more thing though, why didn’t you let us help you?”
Syaoran asked.
“Yes, that too,” Mei sighed looking sad, “I just didn’t want you guys
to get in the middle of it. That’s why I’ve been getting injured
mysteriously.
I thought I could just finish my mission alone.”
“Well, your business is our business! We don’t care about being in the
middle, from now on you’ve got to tell us everything!” Sakura told Mei.
“All right,” Mei agreed, and she de-transformed back into her old self.
After that she collapsed on the cobble stone street. “Mei!” Sakura shouted.
“It’s okay, I’m fine. Everytime I transform into Angelina, I use a lot
of
my energy, kind of like when you were turning the Clow Cards into Sakura
Cards. I wasn’t as strong as I was before, but day by day my powers
increase when I use them. That was another reason why I decided to sneak
into your room to get the GM stone. It saved a lot of energy,” Mei explained.
“What’s a GM stone?” Tomoyo asked.
“It’s a stone that the monsters were captured in,” Mei answered.
“What’s going to happen when all the stones form into one?”
Kero-chan asked.
“I don’t know. Remember? I didn’t capture the last stone,” Mei
replied. Everything was settled then. The next morning Yue was filled in.
Everybody was surprised when he flew over and hugged Mei (*o*). “I
missed you very much,” he said.
“I missed you too....come over here Kero-chan, don’t tell me you never
missed me,” Mei laughed. He came over and hugged Mei. “This brings up a
question for you Kero-chan, and you Yue,” Tomoyo said.
“What?” they both asked.
“How come when you guys saw Mei, you couldn’t recoconize her?”
Tomoyo asked.
“If you want the truth, both of us weren’t really sure about Mei. We
could sense her power level was high, she had a star shaped scar on her palm,
her dark blue eyes and bright smile was unforgetable. But then, she didn’t
seem to reconize us, so we thought she was another person. We kept an eye
on her though. It was like she was an identical twin, but now that we know
everything, we’re 100% sure that it’s really Glori-ella,” Kero-chan said.
“Why do you have so many different names though?” Nakuru inquired.
“Well, I was kind of freaked out that I was a cardcaptor. My real
name is Xiao Mei Li. I just used a different name just in case something goes
wrong. I also have another name that all of you are familiar with: Shining
Angelina. Forget about it. Just call me Mei,” she explained. Finally,
everything was settled. All the questions have been answered. There was no
need to ponder every minute about the mysterious angel or Draconian.
Things were back to normal, or as normal as it could be for Sakura and her
friends. After that, battles occured, and working together, they defeated
them
easily. Then one night when everybody came home from defeating a huge
monster, they all collapsed on the sofa. “Lord! How many GM Stones are
there in the world?!” Syaoran shouted.
“I dunno,” Mei answered as she was concentrating on her laptop.
“What are you doing?” Sakura asked.
“I’m trying to concoct something,” Mei replied.
“By using a laptop?” Syaoran said.
“Well, it’s not necessarily concocting. It’s more like breaking a
barrier
force for a while and going through the portal,” Mei said.
“Hoe?” Sakura said.
“I’m trying to open The Portal of Dimensions,” Mei
“What’s that?” Eriol
“It’s a big hole where you can enter to other worlds other than this
one.
Some worlds think we’re just cartoons. In this world, we are real, we exist,
and nobody knows that we have all these issues happening,” Mei
“This is confusing and I don’t want to put up with it,” Sakura and
Syaoran
“Suit yourself, you’ll find out later,” Mei said. That night she
couldn’t
sleep at all. Mei sensed a very powerful monster roaming around the area.
She was right though. Up above Eriol’s house was a dark figure that’s
shaped like a heart. “Hee hee, so that’s where Angelina lives..... I swear
I’ll
make everything you love die in pain......MWA HA HA HA!!!” Then it shot
an arrow into Sakura’s room and hit her.
The next morning was very cloudy. Everybody came down for
breakfast. “Good morning everybody!” Sakura shouted.
“Good morning Sakura!” everybody replied.
“Good morning cherry blossom,” Syaoran said as he hugged her.
“Lay off pervert!!!” Sakura yelled and punched him. A few forks
dropped. A few jaws hung. “Sakura? Are you feeling all right?” Syaoran
asked and felt her forehead.
“I thought I told you to lay off!!!” she cried and uppercuts him.
“Owwww, you don’t have to injure me. What’s wrong? You’re not
acting like yourself,” Syaoran groaned.
“Nothing is wrong!!! Just lay off of me you pervert!!!” Sakura pouted
and sat down to eat breakfast.
“Sakura, what is it with you?” Tomoyo asked.
“Nothing is,” she replied cheerfully.
“But you were giving Syaoran pain!” Tomoyo said.
“Well that’s what a pervert deserves!” Sakura argued.
“But you love Syaoran you would never do that to him,” Mei chimed
in.
“Love? Yeah right, like I’d ever love a pervert like him,” Sakura
sighed. Dropping knives, hanging jaws, large gasps, and followed by a large
time of silence. “Y-your kidding right Sakura?” Syaoran stammered.
“How can I be?” and she stepped out the house to take a walk in the
park. Syaoran’s heart was crushed. It was ripped out and was stomped on.
Tears came out of his eyes. He ran after her, and Mei followed. “Wait! Mei,
I think this should be left for Syaoran to handle,” Eriol said.
“No way! I was already suspicious when I saw Sakura. It’s not her.
She’s controlled by a monster, a very high level monster. Syaoran will be in
danger if we don’t follow!” Mei explained. When they heard this, Mei was
already running toward the park. Meanwhile, Sakura just slapped Syaoran
really hard :*^(. Syaoran was holding back the tears. “Syaoran!!! Get away
from Sakura!!! She’s poisoned!!!” Mei cried.
“You’re right Angelina!!! She’s poisoned!!! Now the cherry
blossom’s most love one will be hated by her!!!” the heart monster said.
There were two sides of the heart, a black one, and a white one. Then it
started to rain. Sakura was now motionless, and the glare in her eyes were
gone. Mei transformed and kicked the heart’s butt with the help of Cerberus,
Spinel Sun, Yue, Nakuru, and Eriol. Anger was in Cerberus, Yue, and
especially Syaoran who did the most damage. Then the heart monster was
fading and dying, but it was laughing, “Ha, ha, ha, even if I die, your cherry
blossom will still be poisoned and under my control. For my last wish,
Cherry Blossom! Kill the one you love most and then you will become your
normal state to realize what you have done!”
