Chapter 29-The Battle

It was a cloudy day as the gang fought another monster. There was
blood and guts (the monster’s blood and guts) everywhere. Their opponent
was very strong. In the end, they all beat it, etc, etc. Unfortunately, Mei
becomes weary of fighting and sealing the monsters. At least she would
usually feel better after she slept. On night, a shadowy figure crossed the
lawn of Yukito’s house. Believe it or not, it was a shadow with no master,
and it slipped into Yuki’s house. In his room, we find that Yukito is
unconcious, and there’s a twin of him. “Heh, heh, heh, with this body, the
angel won’t be shining anymore...............”
Next morning, everybody went to their first day of school. “So this is
what university feels like,” Touya groaned.
“I feel just like I always do,” Mei answered.
“I feel more important,” Yukito muttered. Then we switch back to
West Wing. Tomoyo, Sakura, Syaoran, and Eriol were adjusting to their new
classroom. “Seventh grade.........” Sakura whispered.
“Yeah, and the seventh graders get dances now,” Tomoyo smiled.
Syaoran blushed a little. “I hope it’s a Sadies dance,” Eriol laughed.
“What’s that?” Sakura asked.
“It’s when the girls ask the boys out, instead of the boys asking the
girls,” he answered.
“HOOEE!!! I don’t want a sadies dance...” Sakura cried.
“Heh, heh, I was only kidding,” he chuckled. Later that afternoon,
Yukito became incredibly strange. He fainted after school, but rose up
seeming different, very different. Mei was worried, so she decided to cook
him some dinner. He offered to walk with her to the grocery store. Once he
got in, havoc broke. He started throwing tomatoes everywhere, squash the
produce, and stole the money from the cash registers in the speed of light.
Mei blinked, confused of what happened, and shocked. “Y-yu-kito???” she
stuttered.
Mei went to his house to see what’s going on. “Yukito, is there
something wrong?”
“I have a headache. What happened? I was at the grocery store with
you, and all of a sudden, I blacked out or something. It’s like I was
transforming to Yue, but were seperate now...” Mei was very worried.
<Please don’t tell me there was a side affect.> She was to about to leave,
when Yukito stopped her. “Hey, didn’t you tell me you were going to cook
me dinner?” he asked. <His voice sounds different....> “Sure,” Mei agreed.
When she was setting the table, Yukito hugged her from behind. “Whoa, you
surprised me there for a moment.......” Mei said.
“Yeah...” he said, and started to unbutton her shirt. As soon as Mei
realized what he was doing, she drew back and cried out, “What are you
doing???!!!”
“What do you mean? Don’t you love me?” Yukito said, with a smirk.
“You’re not Yukito.........” Mei gasped.
“You’re wrong. I am him. I just, how do you say, possessed him....”
he answered. He darted towards her, but she punched him. “Go ahead, hit
me, but you’re just going to hurt your poor beloved Yukito....” he laughed.
Mei was starting to cry. Without noticing, “Yukito” trapped her, and was
probably about to rape her. Mei was crying real hard, “Give him
back....GIVE HIM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Her key started to emit a
blinding light. “What’s happening?! This can’t be! NOOOO!!!” and the
shadow disappeard, turning into a black stone. Half naked, and sobbing,
Mei was frightened and was sprawled in the corner of the room. When
Yukito woke up, he was surprised, and I mean really surprised. “Mei?”
“Don’t come near me, give him back, I don’t care, just give him
back........”
“Mei what’s wrong? Give who back?” Mei gasped and looked up. It
was really him. His kind face, his gentle face, his warm smile. Mei cried
and
pounced on him, not caring if she was half naked. “I’m so glad you’re
back....I’ll explain everything...........”
“That would be great, and I would think, that you should get a new
shirt,” he said, blushing a little. When Mei realized she was half naked she
covered her chest, and blushed furiously, looking up at Yukito. “Hey, don’t
get a single idea, I didn’t see anything,” he said blushing lightly. Mei
borrowed one of his shirts, and they both ate dinner. Mei explained
everything, and everything was all right. DING! DONG! When Yukito
opened the door, Syaoran was wet and was gasping for air. “Have you
seen-” he stopped when he saw Mei, “WHERE WERE YOU!!!??? I’VE
BEEN WORRIED SICK!!! NO CALL NO NOTE!!! YOU COULD’VE
BEEN RAPED!!!!!” Yukito and Mei sweatdropped when they heard those
fatal words. “Why don’t you have dinner with us. I’ll tell you when we get
home. You know, you are ready to be a father, even though you’re only
12............” They sat down, ate dinner silently, and prayed to god nothing
else would happen. When Mei and Syaoran went home, everything was
settled.
Next day in class, Mei returned the shirt to Yukito. “Why did you
even have his shirt in the first place?” Touya asked.
“Uh..........You don’t want to know,” Yukito stuttered.
“Oh yes I do. She’s going to be my future my future sister in law, and
you are going to be my future brother in law. I am going to have to keep an
eye on you two, so fess up,” Touya said. Mei and Yukito pushed Touya
toward and empty hall way. And so on the story spreads to Touya, and he
regretted that he even asked. The next day, it started to rain. Syaoran kept
sensing something was wrong. He was right though, there was a monster that
was hanging around at Penguin Park. Mei was upset to see the monster, but
she hid the feeling from her friends. Now this monster is very complex. It
can fly, swim, run, become invisible, and attacks with the elements of fire,
water, etc. “HOOOOE!!!” Sakura was being blown away by its wind
attacks.......for the twentieth time. “Shield!” she summoned. Although it
protected everybody, someone needed to attack. Ruby Moon, Cerberus,
Yue, and Spinel Sun volunteered. Sure, things were doing just fine, until
that
vicious beast paralyzed them. The four, were sprawled, and was
helpless.......well, not that helpless. Eriol, took a step forward and gave
the
monster the beating of its life. Unfortunately, this monster kept recovering
itself just the nick of time. “We need to kill it with one hit, or it’ll
recover
itself again!” Eriol cried out.
“Mei, can’t you do anything about it?!” Cerberus asked. Mei was wet,
cold, tired, but still has enough power to kill the thing with one hit. she
thought. Mei stepped out of the shield, and
summoned all the power she could get. She lashed out her wand and used the
Windy, Firey, Watery, and Earthy cards all together. “Windy! Firey!
Watery! Earthy! Eliminate this monster with all you’ve got!” she cried.
There was a big explosion, and seems like everything was all white.
On to the next scene, we see Mei opening her eyes holding a diamond
crystal between her hands. “It’s the Crystal of Light,” she murmured.
“It’s so beautiful,” Sakura said. The crystal went towards Mei, and
vanished. “What happened?” Tomoyo asked.
“The crystal chose me as its owner because it knew I had a pure heart,
and that I was the one who worked really hard to achieve it for a good
purpose. It’s just inside of me. Now I have an infinite amount of powers.
Heck, I’m even more powerful than Sakura three times,” Mei sighed.
“WHAT!?” everybody cried.
“Don’t worry, I won’t be able to use the crystal for my own personal
purposes. If I even gave a thought to it, the crystal will find a new owner.
There is only one purpose for the crystal, and its owner. It is to destroy
the
monster that was onced sealed away, but it is my duty, to destroy the
crystal,”
Mei explained.
“What do you mean ‘my’?” Eriol asked.
“Yeah, aren’t we all in this together?” Sakura smiled.
“Don’t you dare leave us out of it!” Syaoran laughed.
“I guess you’re right,” Mei sighed, but frowned a bit later. The next
morning, the sky was still black, and it was raining like crazy. School was
cancelled, and no one dared to go outside in this kind of weather. Mei
transformed into her angelic self. “Mei, why are you transforming when there
is no monster?” Syaoran asked.
“Baka, remember, when all the stones are sealed, they form into one.
When that happens, the infamous king of all beasts reveals itself. Today is
the day,” Mei answered.
“Hold on, let me call the others,” Syaoran said. After a few minutes of
talking on the phone, everyone gathered at Tokyo Tower. Eriol had an
uneasy feeling, and was very worried. Tomoyo and Sakura wasn’t there
though. “Where the heck are they?” Syaoran moaned.
“Don’t you think Tomoyo would be making a costume for Sakura
when these things happen?” Mei said. Everybody sweatdrops. The two of
them came after fifteen minutes. “Gomen,” they both said.
“We know, we know,” they replied. Suddenly, there was thunder, and
a dark shadow was forming into a figure. Slowly, and slowly, Sakura and her
friends’ worst nightmare came to life. It had blood thirsty eyes, and saw its
opponents. “So, this is what I am up against? Some puny beings? Hah! I
am Ryujo, and I will destroy this world!!!!!”
“Not if I can help it!” Syaoran yelled as he tried to injure the
monster.
Unfortunately, the monster was unaffected. Sakura used the big, and had a
one on one fight with it. She had to become her normal self again because
with that kind of a fight, they would destroy the town. Eriol did his best,
but
he wasn’t as powerful as before since he splitted his powers with Fujitaka.
Mei did most of the fighting. Cuts, slashes, and bruises were all over her.
They only thing Sakura and Eriol could do was put a shield on everybody.....a
very strong shield. Mei
thought. She stepped out of the shield and started chanting, “Power of the
ancients, the forces of light, the power of magic, I Li, Xiao Mei, summon you
to lend me your power to rid all the evil on Earth! Crystal of Light come
forth!” The crystal appeared before her. “No! Mei! Don’t use it! There
must be another way to destroy the monster!” Eriol protested.
“What do you mean?!” Sakura shouted.
“There’s more to the crystal than meets the eye Sakura! Before we
battled, I borrowed Mei’s second volume of her magic book. When the
owner of the crystal uses it for its purpose, the crystal will take all her
energy,
and the monster might not even die, and a part of it can still live! That
small
part would take a person’s body that has very little energy, and use as a
refuge! When it’s finished, it will leave the body and let it die! The only
thing to prevent her from dying is that she could fight the monster that’s
within her, but it’s going to be impossible with the amount of energy she’ll
have left after using that crystal!” Eriol shouted.
“NANI????!!!” they shouted, “MEI! NO! DON’T!!!”
“I have to, it’s my destiny. This was the reason why I backed away. I
was afraid to die. I’m not scared anymore. I am going to fulfill my
destiny. I
have to use this crystal. She held up the crystal and blasted the monster.
“NOOOOOO!!!” it yelled. Before it died, it shot a dart at Mei’s arm. When
that was over, Tomeada was devasted. Mei used the last of the crystal’s
powers to fix the town. When it was done, the crystal went back into her
heart. Everybody wasn’t really hurt, but Mei was. She had slashes
everywhere, cuts, bruises, and blood with the fact she was the one who did
most of the work. Mei fainted as Sakura shouted her name. “We have to get
her to the hospital!” Syaoran shouted. Eriol and Syoaran carried Mei, and ran
after Sakura and Tomoyo. They headed toward Sakura’s house. Sakura
burst open the door sweating and gasping for air. Touya and Yukito was
surprised to see her in that condition. “Yukito! Onnichan! You have to get
Mei to the hospital! She’s dying!!!!” she cried. Shock came when Yukito
saw Mei.
Everything was fast. Yukito rushed out to see Mei, and was devasted
to see how badly injured she was. Touya hopped into the car and drove as
fast as he could.......withougt exceeding the speed limit. Yukito was in the
back holding Mei’s hand while tears fell. “Hang on Mei, I know you can,
please.....” he cried. She went into the emergency room immediately when
the doctors saw her. Everybody was walking back and forth back and forth
in front of the emergency room. When the doctor came, Yukito was the first
to ask him how Mei was doing. “I don’t know, it seems she might or might
not live. The chances of her coming through is quite slim. She’s still
alive,
but.......after a few days or even hours, she might.........”
“Can I see her?” he asked.
“Yes, that is possible, but don’t disturb her,” the doctor replied.
Everybody rushed towards her room. Mei was moaning in pain. “Mei,
you’re my sister, and I don’t want you to go. I love you just as I love
Sakura
and my family. You better live!” Syaoran cried.
“You have been a very good friend. You were very smart and clever.
I know you’re strong, and that you are going to still be alive,” Eriol cried.
“Mei, please hold on. My best friend depends on you. I depend on
you. If you’re not hear, who’s going to help me pass my exams?” Touya
cried.
“Hang on Mei, I know you can,” Tomoyo cried.
“Don’t die on me like this Mei. We’re going to be sisters when
Syaoran and I marry. I waited too long for this to fail,” Sakura cried.
“We still have university to finish! Come on!” Nakuru choked. Eriol
noticed that there was a black spot on Mei’s arm. He gestured Sakura,
Nakuru, Tomoyo, and Syaoran over to it. “It’s the monster,” Sakura
whispered.
“I know you can fight it Mei,” Eriol soothed.
“Mei,” Yue, Kero, and Spinel cried softly.
“Mei, I hope you can hear me. I don’t want you to die. I want to be
with you forever. I love you,” Yukito whispered as tears trickled down on
the hands of his loved one he was holding. The hand stirred, and Mei tried
very hard to speak to Yukito. “I want to be with you.....forever too.....I
love
you.......very much.........I have always dreamed that we built a bakery
together......and made the best sweets in the world...........If I
go......could you
please.........build the bakery with another girl that you love...........for
me.....”
she coughed.
“No, you’re going to live, I know you will. Even if you die, I will
never let anyone take your place,” Yukito replied.
“That’s.....good to
here.........Sakura.....Syaoran.....Eriol......Nakuru,
please....come,” she gasped. They came to her. Slowly, they shuffled.
Yukito stayed on the other side. “Listen......when the monster....is
through.....with my body.......it will jump out......I want you to destroy
it......if
I don’t destroy it..........when you do.....the crystal will
disapear.....Because....the monster...is still alive.......the crystal will
remain.......” she said.
“Mei, don’t talk like that......I know you can defeat the monster,”
Sakura sobbed. Yukito came over, and held Mei’s hand tightly. There was
slience. The only sound was the heart machine going BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Mei closed her eyes smiling, “I love you all.....” BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.........................
