Hold Me Through ?Epilogue ?To Meet Again, My Friend
One Week Later?lt;P>
Sakura and Syaoran sat on the front porch of Syaoran’s house, listening to the crickets chirp in the soft summer night. The stars were shining beautifully in the sky, bright at clear, and the moon was full above it all. Sakura looked up. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?? Syaoran nodded. He kept his eyes on the stars. “They’re up there somewhere, you know.?She stated. Syaoran nodded again, smiling wistfully at the thought. Sakura took out two singed Clow Cards from her bag, and held them preciously in her hand. The cards read “The Loyalty?and “The Treachery? And on it was a picture of a teenage boy, and a little girl, a tear in her eye. Dark green hair and in a battle stance, stood Shotoku, eyes closed like all the Clow Cards. Sakura wondered why it was always like that. Perhaps there was something in the cards?eyes that they didn’t want them to see. Maybe like the two cards in her hands, hidden and suppressed sorrow.
“And they’re with their father, finally happy.?Syaoran added, staring at the two damaged pieces of paper in her hands. “Why do you keep that, it’s no use, you know.? Sakura nodded.
“I know, but it keeps the memory fresh. I don’t want to forget them.?After that, silence ruled over the scene. Sakura and Syaoran both had something their hearts were screaming, but they didn’t dare say it. But finally, Sakura couldn’t bare it anymore. The silence hurt her. “Syaoran, in the dream? she hesitated. “Why did you push me out of the way, and hurt yourself??Syaoran stared at her, and then at his side. There was no wound when he had woken up, but sometimes it still hurt. “Why did you do that for me?? Syaoran didn’t want to answer, but he forced the words out of his mouth.
“Because I didn’t want you to get hurt.? Sakura blinked. He actually…cared? She scooted closer and lay her hand on his. A chill ran up his spine. He turned to her. She smiled up at him. He opened his mouth to speak, but Sakura placed her finger on it, telling him to be quiet. “Sakura, I?
“Shhhhh. She put her head on his chest, and wrapped her arms around him. Syaoran stared at her for a second, but he returned the embrace. Sakura felt his arms around her. She smiled. She felt so warm, so safe right then, like the world belonged to them alone. She looked up, and met his amber eyes. Their faces drew closer and closer, until their lips brushed against each other. Then, they pressed against each other. Sakura put her hand on Syaoran’s face. This was how she had dreamed of it for so long, she couldn’t even remember. Syaoran’s heart felt like it wanted to leap out of his chest. He wanted to protect Sakura forever, right then and there. Nothing would change that, nothing would stop him. Not ever.
Eriol was walking nonchalantly down the street when he noticed that he had happened to pass by Syaoran’s house. Thinking he should pay a visit, he opened his eyes, and they widened in shock. Eriol quickly walked away, to leave those two alone, a smile plastered on his face. His eyes were still looking back, and he wasn’t looking where he was going. He bumped into someone, and they both fell down, Eriol on top of whoever it was. He opened his eyes and stared at the person. Quickly, he wished he hadn’t. Tomoyo was there, looking back up at him. He quickly got off, and started to walk away, not wanting any conversation. Tomoyo got up too, but she grabbed his hand before he could creep away from her. Eriol turned.
Her face was bright red, and his was too, which looked funny contrasted to their dark-colored hair. They both looked down to the ground, not knowing what to say. “Um…funny to meet you here, Eriol? Tomoyo started. Eriol rubbed his head sheepishly.
“Uh…yeah? Eriol looked up, and took her hand in his. she stared at it, then at his face, speechless. Eriol caught his chance.
“Tomoyo, would you go with me to the park??
“Right…right now??
“Uh…yeah? Tomoyo smiled sweetly, and nodded.
“Sure I’ll go with you, Eriol.?She said, as they walked down the street, hand in hand. Tomoyo placed her head on Eriol’s shoulder. “We have a lot of catching up to do.?
One year later?lt;/I>
“Sakura! We’re going to miss the bus!?Syaoran yelled into the house. Sakura came running down the stairs, her luggage bag slung over her shoulder, and slipped her shoes on. She quickly nodded, and rushed out the door, yelling a goodbye to her brother and father. Then, she grabbed Syaoran’s hand and bolted down the street so quickly, he had a hard time keeping up at first. “Slow down!? At last, they got to the bus stop, where most of their class was already in their seats. Mr. Terada looked up and smiled.
“Ms. Kinomoto, Mr. Li, I’m glad you could make it.?He checked off their names on the attendance list and they entered the bus. Tomoyo was waving her hand frantically to catch their attention. They walked over to her.
“Sakura, Li! I’ve saved you a seat!?Tomoyo exclaimed. Eriol was sitting next to her, obviously yelling into his bookbag at Spinel Sun, who obviously had decided to tag along. Chiharu turned back from her seat in front of them.
“I heard this trip was going to be fun! Even more fun than last year!?she yelled. Takashi’s head popped up next to her.
“You know, I’ve heard that? Chiharu pushed his head back down. “Hey!?
“I hope that the hotel we stay in is really nice. And I hope our rooms are close to each other. Then we can play midnight games with each other before Mr. Terada tells us to go to bed!?Chiharu exclaimed. Sakura nodded and smiled. Her friend sat back down. She turned to Syaoran.
“Aren’t you excited?? Syaoran turned to her and smiled, kissing her lightly on the cheek. Sakura blushed. “What’s wrong?? Syaoran shook his head.
“It’s just that every time I think about a trip, I think about…those two.?He explained. Sakura, Tomoyo, and Eriol nodded, all knowing about the events that had happened. Suddenly, a little girl ran onto the bus, almost knocking the teacher down, a ball in her hand, she was laughing non-stop. A fifteen-year-old boy with dark green hair boarded the bus, and chased after her. He grabbed her in his arms and made her sit on his shoulders. He walked up to Mr. Terada.
“Um…sorry about that, Mr. My sister is a little hyper-active sometimes.?The boy explained. Tomoyo, Eriol, Sakura and Syaoran looked at the two…they looked so familiar…too familiar?
Mr. Terada nodded. “That’s quite alright.?
“Um…can I ask you a favor??the boy asked. Mr. Terada stared at him.
“What favor??
“Hehe? he smiled sheepishly. “Well ya see, we got lost the same way…my sister ran onto the bus, and I had to follow her, and before I know it, the bus takes off. The next thing, we’re in a city we don’t know! Since I know this bus goes only to the city and to the country, I was hoping if I could tag along…to get home, or my mother would be very worried? Mr. Terada seemed to think about it for a while, but he nodded.
“Fine then, but that is quite a story, young man. You may sit behind Ms. Kinomoto. Sakura, raise your hand so that he can find you.? Then, the teacher sat down. The boy and his sister made their way to the empty seats behind Sakura. As she looked at their faces…she reminded her of someone…so familiar?
Sakura peeked behind her over her seat. “What’s your name??she asked. The boy seated his sister down in the window seat next to him, and smiled back up at her.
"Kirin!" she exclaimed, smiling cutely upward. Kirin? Sakura thought but that meant?lt;P>
“My name is Shotoku, Card Mistress, I’ve told you already. Did you forget me that soon??
That’s it, I hoped you liked it!
