chapter 4 - midnight attackers

"Hmmmm lets see <knock knock> excuse me? do you have a room?" asking the inn keeper

"Sorry son. were all out of vacancy." with a sorry expression

"Let's try the next." cheerful Sakura going to the next, but same reply, after there 17 inn "why yes we have vacancy..."

"so how much?" asking for a fair price "10 gp per a person so 30 gp." reply back "we'll take them!"Sakura cheerful again

"you have your own rooms #10, #11, and #12 are your rooms good night..." as he reclined in his chair

"hmmm nice I'll enjoy my stay." as Sakura and Syaoran says in there own rooms then over at Vincents room...

"haha.." both sweatdropping finding Vincent on the floor sleeping and dedided to help. "Hmm do wanna get cleaned up.."

after hot baths and dinner they took a long night sleep. <BBoooooommm!!!> "huh what the *#^$ is that!?" as Vincent stares

at the window seeing Syaoran and Sakura fighting a foul horde of goblins attacking the town. "SOLAR BEAM!!!"

"Element FIRE!!!" Watery!!!" after an hour of harsh battle... "gaahh!!!" <Slash> "gooaaahhhhh!!!!" <thud>

"That's the last one..." as Syaoran resting on the floor. "What were they Vincent?" Sakura asking Vincent after a harsh battle

trying to protect the town. "There goblins they usualy dont come at day but night is very dangerous." Sakura holding Syaoran's

arm "Hooeee!!!" Vincent moving on with his story "They stay in caverns like the one we have to go through tommorow..."

"HHhooooooeeeee!!!!!" screaming that she doesnt like goblins, after killing them. "Well looks like we'll have to kill there

king." "hmm? the king?" Syaoran asking Vincent "You see the goblins get energy to live from there king, if he dies the other

get very weak, so weak they cant harm us." "Ooohhhhhh so if we kill the king we dont have to kill goblins anymore!?"

Sakura ask not wanting to kill another gobling. "Yup!" then looking at how tired he is "Well lets get rested before we go there

ok?" as everyone else was to exausted. They collected a good amount of items and gp from the fallen enemies.

"HUuuuuaaaa!!!!!" as Syaoran get up. "hmmm better get ready." after a short hygene check and little stretch he checks on

Sakura. 'She looks so cute in there... better wake her up though.' as he thought walking up to her "Syaoran..."

'she must be dreaming about me.' as he blushed and shook her to wake her up. "hmm? oh Syaoran... { ! } Syaoran!?"

"Hai, had a good rest?" "Arigato Syaoran." as she blushes a light pink "I'll check in Vincent and you get ready k?" "Hai"

As he walks to the door "Hey Vincent you up yet?" finds a letter on the bed.

sorry the kings messengers came and said they

needed me becuase more of the Darkness' were

coming and we had to stop many as we can for

our lands safety. You have to get rid of the goblins

your self. once again I am very sorry.

"oh great Sakura is gonna freak out after telling this." as he turns seeing Sakura all ready "Freak over what!?" she pouts

after telling what happened [you guessed it!...she was saying her old suprised noise] "HHHhhooooooooeeeeee!?!?!?"

"Sakura dont worry so much remember I'm here to protect you." he says in a firm voice and Sakura reassured and blushing

"o-ok lets go Syaoran." he smiles and get the chocobos ready to go. As they near the cave Syaoran used his fire spell he

learned from the elders to keep a magical lantern that follows you. As they proceed they see a large chamber full of goblins

dancing around a giant throne that was a chair for there mighty king. "Those heros have destroyed many of our bretherens!!!"

"rraaahhhh!!!" they all screamed in reply "Go back to the villiage, everyone of you and destroy that town to the ground!!!"

all the minions obeyed and left. As the king decided to rest "Hey Sakura hand me that black bottle in your pack."

"why?" "I heard its a bio potion it can poison the victim." he steps out "HEY!! BIG BLUBBER!!!" he turns around in fury

"Drink this!" as he throws the bottle direct shot to his mouth "gwaaaaaa <cough cough> ggaaaaggggg!!!" as he suffered from

the quick effects of the poison "I wish I did not have to do this Sakura.." As he walked to the beast he slashed at his heart

"Rest in Peace.." as he slowly took out his sword out of the giant beast. Sakura was closing her eyes as he did this. "I'll take

the gp and items. Sakura?" as he stared into her worried eyes crying as he walks over to her "Don't cry plzz Sakura I'll always

be here to protect you." embracing her to cry on his shoulder as she did so she blushed a light pink. "Syaoran?" "hmmm?"

"Lets go..." she said as he nods and make there way out to the desert with there chocobo. "Lets take shelter at day and move

at night, since you learned how to navigate with the stars right?" then Sakura with her bright smile "Hai, it shouldn't take long

till we get near Cleyra." with high spirit they snuggled together waiting for night and slept through day.

"hmm its dark.." as he looks around the bright moon shone a path... "Hey! Sakura wake up!" shaking her gently "Unn?"

"Time to go its night." "oh yeah forgot lets go Syaoran!" as she got up and noticed that Boco [wark! wark! the chocobos

name is boco k?] was asleep on there lap. "hey Boco wake up boy. WAKE UP!!!" "wark?" "yup were goin lets go."

as they followed this path of light shone by the moon they neared the town of Cleyra rather quicker than expected

"hmm thats weird Syaoran.." "huh? whys that?" Sakura explains "we should be here by a hour right?" "yeah why?"

"well it only took us 30 minutes to reach Cleyra that tells me that this path might show us the way to Salamander!"

[ok you know that part about the training place? they told them the back ground of all the gods ok? lets continue...]

"yeah now that you mention it. well we need to get right gears for the next day and with the money from the goblins,

the contest, and the king we should be able to buy with money to spare." "Ok lets go to the Inn first!" as they went into

Cleyra they felt safety.
