Chapter One:
“The Weird Dream…”
Eight
years later, after all the CardCaptor business, Sakura and her
friends are all in Grade 12 and are 18. Syaoran was had left
‘ages’ ago, after he received a message from Hong Kong
that he had to go back to attend some important things. Sakura
tried to contact him through mail, but she never got a reply,
who knows, he could have moved to a new place without telling
her.
“Ohayo*, Tomoyo!
Wait up!!”
As usual Sakura
was late. As she ran to catch up with Tomoyo, she got a glimpse
of someone in the trees, she only saw a shock of brown hair before
he was gone. <Who could that be?>
“Yo! Sakura,
you better hurry up or we’ll be late!” Tomoyo yelled,
since she was way ahead of Sakura.
“Ok class,
this morning we will be learning about congruent triangles and
their theorems.”
“Groan! I
dislike math so much…I wish Miss Mackenzie was still here,
she’d make everything so much easier to understand.”
During doing one of the practice problems, she felt something,
an aura that was so familiar to her, but she couldn’t place
a finger on what or who was emitting it. She looked out of the
window, but she couldn’t see anyone or anything.
After school, Sakura
and her friends went out to hang around (as well as study) at
her house. After they had left, Kero flew out of his ‘apartment’
and faced Sakura while she was doing her homework, she was so
absorbed in doing it that she didn’t noticed him.
“Sakura!”
he shouted so loud that she jumped.
“Nani*?”
she glared at him.
“Did you sense
something just right now?”
“ No, it wasn’t
a Clow card was it? I thought we caught all of them, and turned
them into my cards.”
“No, it wasn’t
one, thought we may have missed some of the most powerful ones
which could still in hiding…”
“What! Aren’t
you sure??”
“Well, after
Clow Reed finished the Clow Book, he made some more, which he
had intended to add into the book, but before he did, they escaped
while he was working on the last one. He never finished the last
one because of that distraction… If you ask Yue right now,
he might still have it.”
“How come
you don’t know what the cards are and what are their exact
number?”
“ I was assigned
to be the Cards’ guardian, and sealed into the book before
he made them. After, he opened the book to tell me, but he only
told me bits and pieces about the new cards. He left afterwards
to try and round the cards back up, but they scattered so far
that who knows where they could be.”
“Ok…
so do I need a new sealing wand to go after them?”
“Umm…
I think you do, bring the Clow…I mean the Sakura Book to
me and let’s check it out.”
She rose up and
went to her desk where she kept the Book, she opened the drawer
and gasped.
“Kero, look
what the Sakura Book changed into!”
“What? So
fast?”
“Why now and
not before?”
“I
dunno… maybe because now you have some knowledge on the
lost cards”
The Sakura Book had turned from
it’s light pink colour, and size into a different Book of
a larger size which had the same colour, but this time with brilliant
silver and gold claspings. It still said the “Sakura Book”
and it still had Kero in the front and Yue in the back. <I
wonder what else have changed except the claspings.> Kero
flew over and preched on her shoulder.
“Wow. I never knew, I never
knew…”
“Should I open it to check
out what’s new? Would I lose the Cards if I do so?”
“No way! You’re the Clow
Mistress now, they’re in your power.”
“Ok! Here goes…”
She opened
the Sakura Book, and in it were… just the normal Sakura
Cards.
“Nothing
else? I thought you said there would be a new sealing
wand."
“Hm…
Try touching the first card.”
“
Ok. The first Card here says…it has no name!”
“Oh,
I think that’s the one I’ve told you about.”
Sakura
touched the first Card and it glowed a brilliant soft pink. After
Sakura could see clearly again, she saw a golden crescent pendant
floating in front of her. It was very similar to her star pendant,
except that the star had turned into a cresent moon.
“Hey!
It’s so pretty!! Though, I wish it was like how the star
pendant appeared, from Syaoran and me. I miss him so much.”
< He was always looking at me,
but when I see him looking at me, he would always ask me what
am I looking at and said that he would beat me if I continued
looking at him, sometimes mean and sometimes teasing, though
I knew he never would, other times he would quickly look away,
those times always confuse me. Why would he act like that…>
Sakura gave a huge yawn. It was way past midnight, but Sakura
so excited that she hardly knew time had past so fast. She grabbed
her nightgown and disappeared into the shower. Twenty minutes
later she emerged from the shower, her cheeks all rosy. She tucked
Kero in and turned off the light.
“Oyasumi-nasai*, Kero."
“Oyasumi…(snore).”

<Hey!
I’m back at Tokyo Tower with the Clow Cards floating down
again, I wonder what my dream would tell me tonight. Huh? Who’s
that?>
Sakura
saw a silhouette of a male teenager, but that was all she could
see. Then he stepped out of the shadows…
