Chapter 2:
"Syaoran??!!"

<What was that all about? Who was he, he looks so familiar to me.> She jumped out of bed, <Great! Today is a Sunday, and I wake up early, while during weekdays I don't even eat breakfast!> She walked to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. Meanwhile Kero just woke
up.

In Syaoran's apartment we had just risen and was now sitting up on his bed <Was that her? She's grown so pretty, I couldn't find her alone anywhere, all I can do now is follow her around, waiting for a chance to speak to her alone. Ahhh! I think I'm going to die if I don't see her everyday!>

" How come you're so early today?"
" I dunno...I guess I just woke up."
" Kero. I've been thinking¡Kshould I wear the pendant around my neck and change my old one into a bracelet?"
" Good idea."
" What are you playing right now? Another RPG?"
" Yup! It's Baldur's Gate II, I'm almost finished, and then I'm off to FF9."
" Kero. Today I'm going to the Penguin Park to relax."

At Penguin Park, Sakura sat under the sakura tree, breathing in the cool morning spring air. She was so relaxed that dozed off, so she didn't felt anyone spying on her. A few hours later she woke up feeling cold and drenched.
"Drat! Must have dozed off through a shower!" muttered an annoyed Sakura.
While she was walked home she sneezed and her teeth chattered so much that she though she would wake the whole town up. Suddenly right past Syaoran's old apartment, she felt hot and cold at the same time, and everything was blurry and the whole world tipped under her, and she collapsed.

Syaoran was walking out of his apartment, just finished having his morning training and breakfast. Just as he was turning around the corner of his block, he tripped and almost fell flat on his face.< What in the heck??!! Who would leave a bag lying...> Just then he turned to see what had tripped him, and saw a body of a girl. <What??!!> He rushed to see if she was ok, when he turned her over, he gasped.
"Sakura??!!"
He picked her up and carried her back into his apartment and laid her on his bed. He wondered what to do with a girl that was soaking wet and had a fever. His training never taught him anything like that. <Well... here goes!>
First he took off her soggy clothes (with his face as red as the Red Spot on Jupiter!!), then he covered her up and went into the kitchen to boil water. After the water had boiled, he then fill up a couple of hot water bottles and placed them on either side of Sakura to warm her up. He then sat in a chair which was beside the bed and dozed of, ocasionally waking up to force Sakura to drink some water so she won't dehydrate. A few hours later she woke up, feeling sick but way better than before. She looked around and reconized this as Syaoran's old apartment. <Hey! How did I get here, in Syaoran's old apartment?? What's happening?> She turned her head to have a better look and spotted a handsome young man sitting next to her. <Who in the heck is he??!! Wait! He's that guy in my dream¡K Why am I here inside his apartment and on his bed, and...> She sat up groggily and felt the cool air on her back, she peeked under the covers, and shrieked.
Syaoran was having a nice peaceful dream, when someone shrieked next to his ear, making him jump a foot high.
"Ahhh...! What?! What?!"
"YOU! YOU! YOU!..."
"You what??"
"HOW DARE YOU!!!!"
"What did I do??"
She gasped and peeked under the covers again.
"WHAT did you do??"
"Oh...!"
By now Syaoran had turned back into the shade of red that had appeared when he was taking off her soggy clothes.
"I-I didn't mean to do that, but you were soaking wet and had a fever, I had no choice but to..." he gestured towards Sakura.
"Well at least have some modesty's sake and let me get dressed...assume my clothes are dry now?" she glanced at her watch.
"Uhh...yeah."
"Who are you anyways?"
Syaoran's eyes widened.<She doesn't recognize me!>
"I-I..."
"Look at me please."
He raised his head and looked straight at her. It was her turn to widen her eyes.
"Syaoran??"
"Yeah??"
"Is it really you??"
"Yeah."
She almost jumped up to hug him, but he with an expression of astonishment quickly put his hands on her shoulders, not allowing it. She blushed and pulled the covers up to her chin. <Opps... ^^;> He rose and went to another into another room and gave back her clothes as well as a cup of . She thanked him and asked him to leave the room so she could get dressed. After a few minutes later she emerged.
"How come you came back so suddenly? And why did you never answer my letters?"
"Well...my training now is finished and during that time my mom kept all the letters sent to me, so they would not bother my training as well as an act of discipline."
"I have a new mission..."
"What??!!"
"Kero just told me about the missing powerful Clow Cards. I have one of them but it's unnamed."
"Can I visit you tomorrow?"
"Yeah...but my brother won't be too happy that you're back."
"I know but I need to talk to Kero and discuss this new mission."
"Ok."
She rose and went to the door, he followed her and escorted her back to her house. When she rang the doorbell, it was Touya who opened it.
"Got a boyfriend there, Kaijuu*?"
"Onii-san*!"
Touya glared at Syaoran, who sweatdropped.
"You look familiar kid."
"Onii-san, can you please let use pass?" in a frustrated way
They went upstairs and stood in front of Sakura's room.

"Kero! Guess who's here?" as Sakura entered the room.
"What? I'm kinda busy right now..."
"Yo! Stuffed animal!"
Kero quickly saved and zoomed in front of Sakura and asked,
"Who was that??!!"
"Who??" Sakura said with an innocent face.
"Somebody just called me a stuffed animal, and only someone I know of would only call me that! Where is he!"
Syaoran emerged from the hallway and entered Sakura's room.
"Long time no see Kero."
"NO!!! I must be dreaming right?"
Syaoran grinned.
"Nope, I'm standing right in front of you, in flesh and bones."
"Still having a glaring contest between you and Touya??"
"He did glare at me but he still doesn't know who I am."
"Oh yeah, Brat?"
Sakura groaned.
"I knew about the Clow Cards but what about that flying stuffed animal?"
Kero immediately transformed into Keroberos.
"Stuffed animal right!"
"Sakura! I don't mind the Clow Cards but a lion in the house??"
"Calm down onii-san, he hasn't done anything to harm the house in these nine years"
"Well, at least I know now that I'm sane and not dreaming about Kaijuu talking to herself."
