FF VII: Interrupted by Fireworks

Hello peoples!!!!!!!! I'm back!!!!!!!!! First things first, I'm sorry this is in so late, it took longer than I thought it would because of my homework. It will take a while with chapter 4. Sorry! I guess you could say I'm having "writer's block". Um........Li's mother is in this chapter and so is Li In this story, their spring break is 2 weeks long. You can't have a true romance in 1 week! These things take time! I've decided change the background and the font to this because I think it looks cooler. Well, that's it so here it is, chapter 3!! Enjoy!!!!!!!!! ^_^

Disclaimer: (Since I time to write this, I might as well) I do not own Card Captors or Card Captor Sakura (Though, I wish I did *pout*) I might add some characters of my own so......... they'll be all mine! Ha! Take that CLAMP and Nirvana. OK that's enough. Way too hyper.

(Since I also have time for this.......)
Key:
"....." = Talking (you probably already know that)
'.....' = Thoughts or Thinking (you probably know that too)
(AN:.....) = Author's Notes (I know, "duh!")

Last Chance For True Romance
Chapter 3 - Surprise!

'Huh? Did I just sense Sakura's aura?' Li asked himself, looking up from his homework (AN: he must be really bored ^_^), 'That's impossible, she's in Japan.' He thought again, answering his question.

"Li! Time for your training!" his mom yelled from the kitchen.

"Yes, mother!" Li yelled back as he got up and walked to the back porch, where he always did his training.

'Things are a lot quieter since my sisters moved out.' He thought, remembering why he didn't hear them saying, 'Yeah, Li! Time for training!' and then giggling uncontrollably, as they usually did. He then quieted his thoughts so he could concentrate on training. In no time he was hurling punches and kicking at the stuffed dummy, which was supposed to resemble an enemy. Soon he would start using his sword.

"Here I am." Sakura told herself. Before she rang the door-bell, she straightened her emerald green turtle-neck and her blue-jean shorts that stopped half-way to her knees. When she was done, she rang the door-bell. Sakura heard a mumbled voice that wasn't Li's. Then she heard light footsteps coming to the door followed by a turn of the doorknob. As the door opened, she saw a beautiful women with long black hair and blue eyes.(AN: I don't remember the color of Li's mom's eyes so please don't hate me if I'm wrong -_-')

"How may I help you, Miss?" the beautiful woman asked.

"I'm looking for Li Showron. Does he live here?" Sakura asked her.

"Yes, he does live here. I am his mother, Mrs. Showron, and you are?" Mrs. Showron replied.

"Oh, I'm sorry. My name is Sakura Avalon. I'm a friend of Li's, from Japan." Sakura said.

"You've traveled a long way, Miss Avalon."

"Yes, I have. You can call me Sakura, if you want to."

"Of course, Sakura. Li is training out on the back-porch. Do you mind going alone? There is something in the oven."

"No, I don't mind. I was hoping to surprise him, actually. I've him a lot. Everyone has."

"I'm glad Li has such good friends." Li's mother said as she smiled. She then walked back into the house, followed closely by Sakura.

"The door is over there." Mrs. Showron told Sakura as she headed towards the kitchen.

"Thanks." Sakura said while repeatedly thinking 'Don't faint.'

She soon heard the sounds of grunting and fists hitting something. As she came to the door she noticed Li was so concentrated on hitting the dummy, he didn't even notice or sense her. For a minute she stood there, leaning against the doorframe, watching him dreamily as he landed punch after punch at the stuffed figure. Finally, after a couple of minutes, she snapped back into reality and said, "You think it's had enough?"

At the sound of her voice, Li immediately stopped punching and looked in her direction.

"S-Sakura?" Li said, astonished.

"Surprise!" Sakura yelled.

"W-What are you doing here and how d'ya get here?" Li asked, starting to come to his senses.

"I came because I missed you and I had to tell you something." She explained

"And?" Li insisted.

"And, I got here by using Fly and found you by using the Create Card to make myself a lasin board."

"Impressive."

"I guess so."

'He is soooooo cute!!!! I wish I could hug him, but he probably doesn't like me like I like, no love, him. Still, friends hug. Don't they?' Sakura thought as she self-consciencely walked to a bench and sat down.

'She looks like she's lost in thought. God, she's beautiful. I hope she won't mind if I sit next to her.' Li thought as he cautiously sat on the other end of the bench.

"So, how's everyone in Japan?"

"Huh? Oh, everybody's doin' fine."

"Um......How long are you staying?"

"For the rest of spring break, if I can."

"Oh. Where are you staying?"

"Well, I don't know quite yet. But I have money for a hotel."

"Li, Sakura! Lunch time!" Mrs. Showran yelled.

"Good. I feel like I haven't eaten for days." Sakura said as she remembered not eating hardly anything of her dad's meals, hiding the rest of it.

Li smiled. Sakura smiled back at him as she followed him to the kitchen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Thanks for lunch, mom."
"Yeah. Thanks, Mrs. Showran." Sakura and Li said as soon as they were done eating.
"So, Li, what do ya wanna do?"
"Find you a place to stay, of course."
"Oh, yeah. Forgot about that." Sakura smiled sheepishly as she rubbed the back of her head.
"Why don't you stay here, Sakura. Li's sisters have moved out so you can have one of their old rooms. I wouldn't mind." Mrs. Showran suggested.
The thought of Sakura staying in HIS house made Li blush.
"Um.....okay. What do you think Li?" Sakura asked.
"I don't care. As long as you're somewhere." He lied.
Sakura could tell he was faking. 'Maybe he does like me the way I love him.' She thought hopefully.
'I have to tell him how I feel before I go back home. I may never get another chance. Though I could come back during summer break. Nah, too risky.' She thought again.
