A word from the author-Hi! SakuraBubbles here, and this is my first fic. Well, I'm going to use the Japanese names because those are cooler. But I'm not going to use -chan or whatever because that will get annoying. I don't know a lot about the whole Eriol and Sakura Cards thing so I'm just going to pretend that never happened. o.o And here is my disclaimer: I don't own any of the regognizable characters. Clamp owns them, I don't. But I do own the characters that I make up. Well, here goes!

The New Clow Cards-Another Beginning

~~Chapter One~~

Sakura and Tomoyo were walking in the park. Kero was in Sakura's bag and he was secretly munching on one of the many cookies Tomoyo baked. The two girls sat down in an empty spot where no one would see Kero. Sakura let him out of the bag. He quickly flew out but Sakura grabbed his tail. "Kero! You ate more than half of the cookies!" she yelled, glaring into Kero's eyes. Kero grinned a wide grin and shrugged. "They were right in front of me and I was hungry! What do you expect? Anyway, it's not like I ate that whole cake over there!" he exclaimed. Sakura sighed and let him go. Kero flapped his little wings and then smiled. His smile turned to a frown quickly because he saw someone he hated in the distance. "Hey, what's he doing here?" he yells, pointing to Syaoran. "Sakura invited me, stupid stuffed animal," replied Syaoran, shoving his face right up to Kero's face. Lightning zapped between their eyes when Sakura finally said, "Let's eat!"

The group ate the lunch Sakura had prepared. Then Sakura and Syaoran decided to have a little race, and Tomoyo readied her camera. Sakura got ready to race Syaoran as Kero got a little flag out of no where that said "Sakura!" on it. "Ready, and--," started Tomoyo, but she was interrupted by someone yelling, "Return to your power confined! Animal Card!" "Sakura, was that you?" Kero asked. Sakura shook her head. Syaoran turned his head in the direction of the yell. "Through those woods," he said, pointing. As soon as he said it, a card flew out of the woods aiming for Sakura. She held out her hand and the card landed in her grip. It was a Clow Card, border and everything. It had a picture of a clawed human-like thing with a long tail, and on the bottom it read, "The Animal." "Huh?" asked Tomoyo. Suddenly, a boy ran out of the woods with a saber sword gripped in his hand. He stopped in front of Syaoran, who had drawn his own sword. "Get out of my way," said the boy. He had light blue eyes and blonde hair. On his right cheek were two black stripes and he was wearing a navy blue and gold battle costume, which looked exactly like Syaoran's but without a hat.

"That's my card, give it back," said the boy. "Funny, it came to Sakura," replied Syaoran. The boy looked at Sakura, whom stepped back, and laughed. "Sakura? The Card Mistress? She doesn't have any point in captoring any of these Clow Cards," laughed the boy. "Then why did she get it? And who are you to judge who can captor the cards?" Syaoran stammered. The boy smiled and said, "I am Li Quatre, nice to meet you, Syaoran." "Li?" asked Sakura, Syaoran, Kero, and Tomoyo at the same time. Quatre nodded. "How could you be? I've never seen you before!" Syaoran insists. "I'm not from the same Li Clan as you. I know of you and your clan, but you do not know of us. We are known as the Shadow Li Clan. Now, give me back that card! You heard me seal it, it belongs to me," Quatre explains. "Hey! The card came to Sakura, so she's going to keep it! Now you shut your mouth! You're a bigger brat than Syaoran!" yelled Kero, flying up to Quatre's face. Syaoran glared at Kero, than returned his gaze to Quatre. "Fine, but if she's going to capture the cards, she better not get in my way," growls Quatre. He turns and runs back into the woods. Syaoran turns to Sakura. "Looks like we have more work to do," he says. Sakura nods slowly, but Tomoyo jumps up and down. "Great! Now I can make more costumes! I already have some designs! They are...," her voice trails off as Sakura, Syaoran, and Kero fall to the ground with big sweatdrops.

Well, how'd ya like it? The spelling's probably screwed because this thing doesn't have a spell check. But anyway, please review. Yes, I did get the name Quatre from Gundam Wing, but he's not the same guy. If you are confused on how to say his name, it's like Ka-tra. Ok? And if you are into the WB version and not the Japanese version, here are the names so you're not confused.
