Phoenix Light Part 2 "The Battle" Sakura, Syaoran, and Kero headed down the street and soon stoped. Syaoran looked up at a building. "It's up there." Sakura uses the Fly card. She looks over at Syaoran. He didn・t really want to get her baton, but he did want to get up there so he got on with her. They fly up and Kero flys next to them. "What could be this new power Kero?" asked Sakura. Kero graps onto Sakura's shoulder. "I'm not sure. It's like the Clow Cards, but the magic is not quite the same...It feels..." "Evil..." Syaoran finished for Kero. Kero growled at Syaoran. "I was going to say that!" Syaoran smirked and got his sword out. Sakura moved up to the building and Syaoran jumped onto it. Sakura landed near him. She looked around. "I don't see anything..." Syaoran got in a fighting stance. "Something is here..." Kero floats off Sakura's shoulder and looks around. Syaoran closed his eyes and slowly walks forward. Kero and Sakura looked at Syaoran a bit confused as to what he was doing. Syaoran opened his eyes and he appeared to be in a trance. Kero could feel strong magic near Syaoran. "Sakura..." Kero whispered. "There very strong evil mgaic near him." Sakura runs over to Syaoran. "Li-kun!" Sakura graps him. Just then some black magic hits Sakura away. "Sakura!!" Kero yelled as he floats over to her. She was unconscious and bleeding in the chest. Kero flys over to Syaoran and bites his hand. Syaoran snaps out of the trance and yelps in pain. He tossed Kero away. Kero rolled across the ground and then quickly got up. A woman in a black dress and cloak appeared in front of Syaoran. She looked around 13 or 14. She had her face covered by a hood. Syaoran looked over at Sakura and then at the women. He glared at her. The women laughed and pull out a card. It looked like the Clow Cards, but colored black. Kero goes by Sakura and watches Syaoran and the women. *A Black Clow Card? Who is this person?* The Women tossed the Card at Syaoran and a Creature came out. It looked like a huge Wolf made of Fire. It shot flames at Syaoran. The Women disappeared. Syaoran jumped out of the way. He used his lighting on the Fire Creature and sends it back a bit. He backs away from it and started running around dodging the flames. *It's a card so Sakura should be able to captrue it. Well I hope she can.* Syaoran winced as he felt a flame hit his arm. He grabs his arm and trys to stop the bleeding as he runs around dodging the flames. Kero flys over to Sakura and trys to wake her up. Syaoran looked over at Sakura. She was still out like a light. Syaoran felt a few flames his him and falls over. The wolf growled and started powering up for a big blast. Syaoran tried to stand up. The Wolf fired off the blast and Syaoran closed his eyes waiting for it to hit...but the blast never hit him. Syaoran opened his eyes to see a shield made of water. "Nani?" He slowly stood up and watches as the water forms a shield all around him. Kero watched as the shield forms into what looks like the Watery Clow Card. Syaoran pulls out the freeze Card and uses it on the Fire Wolf. It froze in place. He saw that the Creature would soon burn through the ice so he had to think fast. The Watery shoots water at the Wolf just as it breaks out of the ice. The Wolf falls over and lays still. Syaoran limps over to the Watery. Watery then truns into the water form and jumps off. "What happened!?" yelled Kero. "Did Watery Get lose!?!?" Syaoran shrugs. The Wolf slowly fades away. Syaoran walks over to Sakura. He put his sword away and picks Sakura up on his back. His symbol under his band glows a bit and He then felt weird...he could carry Sakura easily for some reason. He jumped from building to building till he got low enough to jump down onto the ground. He walked/limped down the street and tried to ignore the pain he was feeling. He was leaving a trail of blood behind. Kero flys up to him. "How? What? When?" Syaoran sighed. Sakura slowly opened her eyes and looked at Syaoran. "What happened?..." Syaoran tells her everything while they head back to his apartment. Sakura pulls out the card Watery. "I still have it." Syaoran slowly nods. Sakura ketp telling him she can get down and walk, but Syaoran did'nt believe her. He saw the blood on her on knew she should'nt be walking. Well he should'nt be, but he could take it better then her and he felt bad. He felt it was his fault she got hurt. Four figures were watching them. "He's safe..." whispered a male voice. "Thank the gods...I thought we would have failed her.." "Thanks to me." said another male voice that seem to be a little high. "It wasn・t easy. Turning from human to element form is hard." "Well you did a good job." whispered a soft female voice. "We have to protect all three of them. But you could have gone a bit faster. Look how hurt he and the Card Mistress is." "I could have done better." said another female voice. ====================================================== "Oh Sakura-chan I hope your ok." said a little spy watching Syaoran, Sakura, and Kero. She walks up to them with her camera. "Hi!" Syaoran jumped a bit and looked at.. "Tomoyo!" yelled Sakura. Tomoyo smiles at them all. "I got it all on tape." Sakura, Syaoran, and Kero sweat droped. "How did she do it?" asked Syaoran. Sakura giggles. "She has her ways." Tomoyo looks at Syaoran. "Li-san you look horrible. Doesn・t it hurt to walk like that?" Syaoran shrugged and walked past Tomoyo and into the apartment building. Kero and Tomoyo follow. They head into Syaoran's apartment room and Meiling was waiting. She gasped at what she saw. Not just Sakura riding on Syaoran・s back, but Syaoran bleeding badly. Sakura slowly got off Syaoran's back and winced a bit as she did. Syaoran then let himself pass out from losing all that blood. ====================================================== *Get up.* *Huh?* thought Syaoran. That voice was of a young male. Very young. He tried to open his eyes, but couldn・t. *Come on get up. You・re stronger then that. I should know.* *Who are you?* *Heh. Just get up. Open your eyes and get up. You've been through worse. Now up!* Syaoran slowly opened his eyes. He was on his bed. His cuts and wounds were all wrapped up. He slowly sat up and winced in pain. Tomoyo was no where to be seen. Meiling was asleep in a chair near him and Sakura had her head laying on the bed alseep. She had her wound wraped up. Kero was asleep on a pillow on the floor. Syaoran sighed. *I thought you could'nt remember your magic?* He thought trying to talk to the Phoenix. *I'm very slowly remembering.* Syaoran slowly nods. He takes the band off his forehead. The symbol glowed a bit and the Phoenix appears in the little girl form. Syaoran jumps back and winces. She smiles a bit at him. "Why didn・t you do that before?" asked Syaoran. She sighs. "I wasn・t sure if I should yet." Syaoran nods and sees Sakura and Meiling wake up. They both jump back seeing the girl in the room. Kero wakes up and looks up at everyone. Syaoran tells them who she is. "Hello. From what i remember I think my name is Cara." ====================================================== Syaoran layed awake in on the floor. Meiling was very angry at him for not telling her he left. Cara was sleeping on the bed and Syaoran was in a sleeping bag on the floor. Syaoran thought back on what happened before Sakura and Kero left... Cara looked at Sakura. "You are the Mistress of the Cards right?" Sakura nods. "Yes I am." Cara smiles. "Oh good. I wish I could help you by telling you more, but I don't remember much. All I remember is that I locked myself up in a crystal to wait still the time when I would come out and do something...I don't know what it is, but it had something to do with protecting and training someone. I will help you in away way I can." Syaoran sighed. *I'm now a Guardian of the Phoenix ne? She picked me only because she needed someone.
