Phoenix Light Part 7 "The Key" Mizu sat up and looked around where he was. He saw that Malus was right next to him. "Hey..How did we end up here?" Malus stood up. "They brought us here." Mizu stands up and walks a bit ahead. "This dose'nt look like the normal Dark Temple.." Malus nods. "Yeah theres some new rooms." Mizu frowns. "It's so big! Where are the others?" Malus walks down a hall way. Mizu runs after Malus. "Hey wait up!" ====================================================== Meiling opens her eyes and sits up. "Good you woke up." Meiling looks up to see Enkou right above her. He holds out his hand for her to grab it. She grabs his hand and he helps her up. "Where are we?" Enkou looks around. "We're in the Dark Temple. Though it's bigger then the last time I saw it. Come on we have to find the others." Enkou walks down a hall and Meiling follows him. ====================================================== Yochi and Fuu walked down a hall way. "This place is so big." said Fuu. Yochi nods. "Yeah.." ====================================================== Cara looked around the area. Kero flys onto her shoulder. "Well this place looks familiar..but just bigger." Cara nods. "Ah so Clow Reed took you here once." Kero looked at Cara. "You knew Clow Reed?" Cara smiles sadly to herself and nods to Kero. "Yes I did..." She starts walking down the hall way and truned looking in a few rooms and moving down the halls. ====================================================== Touya looked out the window and frowns. *Sakura...Are you alright? You better be.* Yukito walks up to Touya. "I'm sure she's fine." Touya slowly nods and continued to stare out the window. ====================================================== Syaoran looked around. He was in a field. "I knew you'ed be strong enough to live through that." Syaoran knew that voice...He looked around and then saw a boy about his age staring at him. The boy was wearing all black and had deep red eyes. He had black hair a bit past his shoulders. "Your..." Syaoran walks a bit closer to the boy. "Your the one you told me to get up when...I was wounded by thoughs flames. Are'nt you?" The boy smiles and nods. "Yeah. It was me. No matter how powerful the seal was I was still able to send some type of message out." Syaoran narrows his eyes a bit. "Your the Evil Dark Phoenix...or as everyone else calls you the Demon are'nt you?" The boy nods. "Right again boy your smart!" The boy chuckles and walks up to Syaoran. "All thanks to you I'm free once again. Here to make your life horrible." Syaoran stood there for a moment. He makes a fist and stares at the boy. ====================================================== Malus and Mizu ran down the hall way. Mizu had trouble keeping up with Malus because he ketp turning to another room. "Are you sure we're going the right way?" asked a tired Mizu. Malus nods. "We are. I have a bad feeling about Reiko. I think they may have already opened the gate." Mizu growls "Just great..." Malus turns one way and gets kicked in the face. "Oh my! Malus I'm sooooo sorry!" Malus' eyes spun around for a moment in anime style. He then looks up to see Yochi. "It's alright." He stands back up. Mizu brust out laughing at Yochi. "Way to go Yochi! HA HA HA - OW!" Mizu rubs his head after getting hit. Fuu sighs. Malus went back heading down the hall. Fuu, Yochi, and Mizu follow him. *We can't wait any longer.* Thought Malus. *We've got to get to Reiko.* ====================================================== Cara stops walking and hides in a room as some demon servents go by. When they went by she goes back to walking down the hall. Kero points left. "Sakura is that way." Cara starts to head the other way. "Hey!" Cara looks at Kero. "I have to find Syaoran fast." Kero shakes his head. "Sakura first!" Cara sighs. "Alright, but lets hurry." They head the way Kero pointed and found a room full of cells. Cara looked in each one and then soon spoted Sakura. Kero flys in and over to Sakura. "Lets get you two out of here." Sakura smiles. "Kero-chan!" Kero flys back over to Cara and they try to find away to open the door. Cara backs away a bit and starts whispering something. Kero stared at her and then bolted out of the way as she sends a beam of energy that hits the door blowing it to pieces. Sakura and Tomoyo stare at Cara for a moment before they stood up and ran over to them. Sakura, Cara, and Kero tryed to find there way to the others as they used there magic to do so. ====================================================== Enkou and Meiling were quiet as they walked. Enkou then stoped and looked over at a room. "Clow Cards?" he muttered as he stared at the door. He puts his hand together and starts to chant. He sends a fire ball at the door and it burns away. Meiling slowly followed him into the room. Enkou walked up to a table and picked up the Clow Book and the Key. "They must have taken them away from Sakura..." Meiling frowns a bit. "We better hurry and find the others." Enkou nods and heads out of the room with Meiling following. ====================================================== Cara, Sakura, Kero, and Tomoyo walk into the middle of the temple. Sakura gasped as she saw Syaoran unconscious on the floor. She runs over to him and kneels down. "Li-kun! Li-kun wake up." Kero floats around the area. "Wow...I do remember this place." He looks up at the ceiling. "Wheres the symbol?" Cara and Tomoyo look up. Syaoran opens his eyes a little. The light in them were gone. Sakura looks at Syaoran just in time to see them change from brown(or amber not sure of the color) to blood red. "Li-kun?..Are you ok?" Syaoran grabs Sakura by the throat and slowly stands up lifing her into the air. Syaoran grins "He's not here right now little girl..." Syaoran's voice had changed. It was deep and cold...Kero growls and flys over to The demon/Syaoran and bites his hand. The Demon hits Kero away and tosses Sakura away. Sakura slowly stand up and breaths slowly. "Li-kun..." Malus, Fuu, Yochi, and Mizu then run into the room. The Demon changes the cloak into the wings...but they change from white to black. "Oh no.." muttered Mizu. Enkou and Meiling then show up. Enkou hands Sakura her key and the Clow Book. Sakura takes them and looks back at The Demon. "Let Li-kun go!" The demon smirks. "Sorry little girl, but I need him. I'll use him to open the gate and bring everything into the Dark Realm so everyone and everything will know what it's like! Also I like his power very much." Cara frowns and makes a fist. The demon starts to chant something and the four pillars start to glow. Malus looks at Sakura. "Sorry but...I have to stop him. I may even have to kill him." Sakura frowns. "No! You can't..." Malus shakes his head. "I'm sorry." He then forms a sword from white/black flames and runs up to The Demon. Sakura had tears run down her cheeks. "No!" The Enkou jumps onto Malus and knocks him over. "Sorry Malus, but we have to protect him...." Malus kicks Enkou off. "You better have another idea on how to stop him." Meiling starts to cry a bit. "Syaoran..." The demon smirks a bit and goes back to chanting. Sakura just then remebered something... Clow Reed hugs Cara back. "It was not a porblem Cara. I strongly believe the key can calm the soul of the Element Phoenix. The one called 'White Dove'...The one it picks to forever hold onto the key. The only one who can keep it from truning to darkness." Sakura sighs a bit. *I just hope I'm the right one..* She runs up to The Demon. The guardians, Tomoyo, Malus, Meiling, and Kero watch and gasp at Sakura. "Sakura wait!" yelled Kero. The Demon looks at Sakura as she runs up to him. Sakura trys to grab the pendant around his neck. The Demon grabs her by the throat. "I don't think so little girl." Everyone watched. Tomoyo keeps taping this. *Come on Sakura-chan...please be ok..* The Guardians did'nt know if they should help. Malus was trying to get up, but Enkou grabs onto him again and would'nt let go of him. Cara was just about to help when Meiling runs past her and kicks at The Demon's head. He lets go of Sakura and growls at Meiling. Sakura grabs the pendant. Sakura and The Demon were wraped in a red light and they both fall over unconscious. Enkou lets go of Malus and everyone heads over to them. ====================================================== Sakura slowly opened her eyes. She looks around where she was. She was in a huge field. *Where am I?* She then find that the red pendant is around her neck. She slowly stands and walks around. She then gasps as she finds Syaoran sitting under a tree. She runs over to him and kneels down. "Li-kun." He did'nt answer her. She looked at his eyes and frowned to see them blank. She then felt the ground shaking. She shakes Syaoran. "Li-kun we have to get out of here! We have to get back to the others! You can't let the demon win this!" She hugs Syaoran. "Please wake up!" The ground under them breaks up and they start to fall. "Li-kun! Please!" Sakura held onto Syaoran as they fell down. Her pendant glowed brightly and Syaoran slowly gets the light back into them. "What the?..." Syaoran holds onto Sakura and has his cloak change into the White Wings. He stops them from falling and slowly starts to fly up. He looks at Sakura. "What happened?" Sakura hugs Syaoran and has a few tears roll down her cheeks. "I was so scared that I would never see you again..." Syaoran was a bit confused. Sakura looks up at Syaoran. "The Demon from the gate came and took over your body. He was going to open the gate wider and put everything and everyone in it. I was'nt sure what to do, but I had a feeling that I should get the pendant." Syaoran sighs. "I'm sorry..it's my fault this thing is lose." Sakura shakes her head. "No it's not." Syaoran frowns. "Yes it is..I tryed to do this myself and failed." Sakura sighs. "You just did'nt want anyone else to get hurt. It dose'nt matter now Li-kun. We've got to beat the demon inside you and get back to the others." Syaoran nods and looks around. "There doesn’t seem to be a place to land." Just then a black beam heads for them. Syaoran just barely gets them out of the way. The Demon in the form of a boy appears. Syaoran holds onto Sakura as best he can. "I can't fight him and hold onto you at the same time." Sakura then remembers she has her key and Clow Book back. She pulls out the key and changes it into the baton. She then gets the fly and flys near Syaoran. Syaoran forms a sword in his hand from fire. The Demon growls. "So you broke my spell. No matter. I'll destroy you two first!" He sends black beams at them. Sakura and Syaoran try to dodge the beams. Syaoran flys up near the Demon and slashes at him. The demon forms a sword in his hand and blocks it. Syaoran Pushes the Demon back and slashes at his arm. The Demon winces and blood drips down his arm. Though for some reason it heals right back up. Sakura wonders what she should do. *Do we have to kill him? And how? The wound just heals.* Sakura's pendant glows a bit. She grabs onto it and stares at it for a moment. *The Key...If it has the power to break the demons spells...and it's also bonded with Li-kun...Maybe it can stop him. But how? I-* Sakura was borken out of her thoughts hearing Syaoran cry out in pain. Sakura's eyes widen seeing the Demon had slashed Syaoran in the shoulder. Syaoran flys back a bit and trys to stay in the air. Sakura flys near Syaoran. "Li-kun are you alright?" Syaoran slowly nods and looks back at the demon. The Demon smirks. "This is to easy. I thought you were the most powerful Phoenix in the world? Guess you don't know how to use your power." The Demon blast a beam at Sukura and Syaoran. They try to dodge it, but did'nt make it and they both get hit. They start to fall down. ====================================================== "Master Syaoran wake up!" yelled Fuu as she shook him a bit. Mizu checks on Sakura. "They seem to be fine just passed out." Sakura's pendant glows a bit. Meiling starts to cry and grabs Sakura shaking her vlolently. "You better bring Syaoran back you hear me!? You Better! Or I'll never forgive you if you come back without him!" Enkou grabs Meiling and makes her let go of Sakura. She crys and Enkou hugs her. Kero lands near Sakura. *You can do it Sakura. I know you can. I know both of you can. Come back together ok?* ====================================================== Sakura slowly opens her eyes "I'm doing this a lot.." She slowly stands up and looks around. "Li-kun?" "Sakura!" Sakura turns around to see Syaoran not far from her. She runs over to him, but hits some type of shield. She rubs her nose and looks at Syaoran. "Li-kun are you ok?" Syaoran nods. "Yeah I'm fine." Sakura frowns "How can we beat this thing?" Syaoran sighs. "I don't know." Sakura then feels something wrap around her leg. She screams as she sees the ground wraping around her turning her to stone. Syaoran trys to break the shield with his sword, but to no use. "Sakura!" The Demon appears behind Syaoran. "So is this your weakness?" Syaoran turns around and growls. "Let her go!" The Demon shakes his head. "Oh no. I can't do that. See with her out of the way it will be easy to beat you." Syaoran looks confused. "What?" The Demon smirks "Oh nothing." He then disappears. Syaoran truns back to Sakura to see that she was half way stone. "Li-kun! Help me!" Syaoran hits the shield over and over again with his sword. Syaoran starts to crack it a bit. "I'm sorry Sakura..I could'nt protect you..." Sakura looks at Syaoran. "Syaoran-kun..." Syaoran looks at her as he keeps beating on the shield. Her pendant starts to glow. Syaoran's symbol glows bright with the pendant. He felt a strange energy fill inside him and his sword comes down hard on the shield. It breaks through and he runs over to Sakura. Sakura was almost stone though her pendant was'nt. Syaoran wonder what to do...He grabed the Pendant and it glows even brighter. The stone on Sakura disappears and she was back to normal. Sakura hugs Syaoran and he hugs her back. "Arigatou Syaoran-kun..." They both blush a bit. The Demon stared at them for a moment as he was hidden. *I get it now...She must be the White Dove. The Pendant is only as powerful as the connection between The White Dove and The Bird of Fire...and when the pendants power is very strong it gives energy to the Phoenix...Ugh Love...* They let go of each other and look around. "What now?' asked Sakura. "How do we stop it?" Syaoran looks at Sakura. "We send it back to the Dark Realm." Sakura nods. "And how?" Syaoran looks up. "We can do it. It was open before right?" Sakura grabs Syaoran's hand. He blushes a bit. "Right. Lets go Syaoran-kun." Syaoran grabs onto Sakura and spreads his wings. He flies up. Sakura blushed because of how close she was to him. *Why am I blushing?* The Demon appears above them. "Oh no you don't!" Sakura pulls out the Firey Card and it attacks the Demon. Syaoran flys past the Demon. There was a light not to far from them. The Firey then returns to it's card. The Demon goes after them. Syaoran then mutters something in a unknowen language and sends a fire ball at the Demon. The Demon falls back down Sakura and Syaoran close there eyes as they go through the light. ====================================================== Sakura opens her eyes. Everything was fuzzy for a moment. She sits up and looks over at Syaoran. Syaoran snaps his eyes open and they were back to normal. Everyone smiled at them. "Your alright." said Yochi. "You had us worryed." said Mizu. Syaoran and Sakura bolt to there feet. "Hurry!" Syaoran grabs Sakura's hand and they make sure there in the middle of the room. Sakura hugs Syaoran and he hugs back. "I hope this works." said Sakura. Everyone looked at them a bit confused. Meiling's face turns red and gets angry at how close Syaoran was holding Sakura. Sakura grabs the pendant and whispers. "Please..please help me find away to open and close the gate." Syaoran grips onto Sakura as he starts to feel horrible. Sakura frowns. "Hang on Syaoran-kun." Syaoran's eyes start to turn blank. "Hurry Sakura." Sakura nods and her pendant starts to glow. Syaoran's symbol glows with it. Sakura then had these strange words come to her mind. She puts the pendant around Syaoran's neck and She starts to chant the words. The pillars start to glow. Beams were sent into the pendant and then sent to Syaoran. He closes his eyes feeling that same drained feeling like before. Everyone watched a beam sent up to the ceiling. The Black Clow symbol appears. The demons black soul leaves Syaoran and was sent up into the dark symbol. Sakura stops chanting and falls on her kness. Syaoran falls back passed out. Meiling blinked. "Is...it over?" Cara slowly nods. "Yes...it is. For now it is." Sakura takes the pendant off Syaoran. The Guardians and Malus stand up. They walk over to Syaoran. Malus picks up Syaoran and looks over at Sakura. "Arigatou White Dove." He then carrys him out with the Guardians following. Cara stands up and follows them. Tomoyo runs over to Sakura. "You alright Sakura-chan?" Sakura stared off where Malus left with Syaoran. Kero flys over to Sakura and lands on her shoulder. "I'm glad your alright Sakura. Can you tell me what happened when you were inside the kid?" Sakura blushed. ====================================================== Syaoran opens his eyes. "Welcome back Master Syaoran." said Enkou. Syaoran looks up to see the Guardians around him. Malus was sitting in a chair not to far away and Cara was standing by the door. Syaoran trys to sit up, but Fuu pushes him back down. "You went through a lot Master Syaoran. You should rest." Syaorans sighs. Malus stands up and walks over to the Guardians. "Alright guys out of here and let him rest." They nods and walk out. Syaoran smiles a bit at Malus. Malus smiles back and then leaves the room. Cara walks over to Syaoran. He sits up and looks at Cara. "I'm sorry I made such a mess of things." Cara shakes her head. "It's alright Syaoran...I want to know what your going to do now." Syaoran looks out of the window. "I guess...I'll go back to Hong Kong." Cara looks at him. "You sure?" Syaoran slowly nods and looks back at Cara. "I..I have too. Theres so many problems I have to fix so-" "You can stay with Sakura?" Syaoran blushed "N- n- no! That's not it." Cara smiles. "Sure. Anyway I'm sure the Guardians will want to go with you. I won't be though." Syaoran frowns. "Why not?" Cara sighs softly. "You have a mother there. I'll be here waiting for you to come back." Syaoran slowly nods. "I see..." Cara slowly heads for the door. "Mother." Cara turns and looks at Syaoran. "Yes?" Syaoran looks at her for a moment.."Do..you know what The 'White Dove' is? And theres other things that I don't understand." Cara smiles a bit. "You'll find out when the right time comes."
