This tales place completely before all of the cards were even out, and Li and Sakura were actually childhood friends, which Li is thinking about in the beginning of the story. There were no Clow cards, no Eriol, no nothing. I wished that there was no Mielin in this story, but I had to have one for the plot of the story.
Li stood on the balcony, trying to remember. Trying to remember..hard, but what? There was nothing left to remember, he couldn't even remember what he was trying to remember. Oh well, what he really wanted to do was to play with Sakura.
"Hey Li! Guess what? We leave for Hong Kong Tomorrow! Were going on a permanent vacation!" Meilin yelled very excitedly.
"WHAT? Um.. When do we leave?" Li said half-heartedly.
"Tomorrow at 6 'o clock" Meilin said running back into the house. Tomorrow? That early?! He had to tell Sakura something important.

"Hey Sakura! Wait up" Li yelled running up to her.
"Umm...hi" Sakura said bluntly.
"Um I just wanted to say goodbye, and that I really like you a lot, im leaving to go to Hong Kong to join my Li clan" Li said before Meilin grabbed him and dragged him off to the station.
"Li wait, its just that um, I like you too" She says frantically before Meilion pushes him away.
"Come back okay?" Sakura yelled to him.
"I'll come back! I promise!" Li yelled frantically before the doors closed.
Ten years later, when they've both captured the clow cards. Li left back for Hong Kong right after.
"L-Li? Is that really you?" Sakura said, looking at someone in front of her with chestnut colored hair.
"If I'm the real Li, you must be the real Sakura" Li said a bit hesitantly.
"Li you don't sound good are you alright?" Sakura said, concerned.
"No" Li moaned. He was bent over holding his head as if there was a rock throwing itself around in it. Then he collapsed. Sakura bent over him, and then collapsed to.

Sakura woke up and looked up to see something of, well it looked a lot like Li in fact. He was holding his head and he was twisting to the left and right.
"Li, are you alright?" she reached for him but it passed right through him! She looked around to see a Li that was 8 years old, a Li that was 10 years old, and a Li 20 years old.
"Is this the inside of your mind or... your subconsciousness?" she asked to no one in particular.
"Better start here" she said walking over to the 8 year old Li.
"If you want to find out what happened in the past, follow me" Li said. So Sakura followed. She gasped at what she saw.
Japan was there in front of her eyes with a Li getting dragged by Meilin into the train station.
"I'll come back I promise!" Li yelled.
"He always wanted to join the so called "Li clan", but I can't remember why" Sakura said to herself.
"Visit that Li over there and you will find out why" Li said gesturing to the right toward the other Li.
Sakura walked over to the Li and knelt down beside him.
"I thought if I could rejoin the Li clan, I could impress someone" he stated.
"Who?" Sakura asked, this was all to confusing for her.
"Who?! You know who! You! Thats who!" Lee said. He sat down again. Sakura walked over to the next Li and put a hand on his shoulder.
"Sakura, did you forget about those days?" Li said half-heartedly.
The eight year old Li walked over and pointed to a hole that looked like penguin park in Japan.
"Do you know whats through this window Sakura?" he asked.
"Umm" Sakura said flatly.
"Come let me show you" he said.
The hole grew until it encased both of them.
"I always wanted to play with you and your group, but you never let me join" he stated.
"Look Li.." she started.
"Don't apologize" he cut her off. "I wanted to join the Li clan so that someone might notice me. Think more of me"
"I'm sorry about the past" Sakura apologized.
"If you can change the past, isn't it worth it to try?" he said, but before he finished, the Li that had a huge headache or something suddenly grew down to size down in front of Sakura and stopped holding his head and he stood up. Sakura reached over and touched him, making sure he was real.
"C'mon Li, its all over now" Sakura stated, ruining the big dramatic exit.
