Chapter 2
Later that day at lunch, Devyn met up with
Sakura and Tomoyo. She was so
happy about all of the friends she had made that day. The glee
showed on
her face. Devyn pulled Sakura aside to a nearby by tree. She
looked her
in the eye. Devyn asked, "Why didn't you like that dark
spot on the
sidewalk." Sakura sighed in defeat, knowing that she could
hide it no
longer. Sakura began the story, "Three years ago, I had
a friend named
Syaoran. He was always, well, not always nice to me. But we did
something together that brought us to that spot. Then, something
hit him
from behind and he fell. Blood soaked the sidewalk. I bent down
to see
if he was all right. As my face came into his view...he said
he loved me.
Then, he died." Sakura was at the verge of crying. As Devyn
saw tears
come into Sakura's eyes, she knelt down next to her and wiped
the tears
away. *So that is why. There must be something I can do to help
her. Hey
I wonder... * "Sakura, did you ever finish what Syaoran
and you were
doing?" Devyn asked. Sakura shook her head causing tears
to fly to the
left and right. Devyn heart ached for her newfound friend. She
asked
sympathetically, " Can I help you finish it?" Sakura
shook her
vigorously. "Oh" Devyn said. Thoughts chased each other
around her head:
How could she help her? What did Syaoran look like? What were
Syaoran
and Sakura doing? Devyn decided on one last question to ask.
"Sakura,
what did you and Syaoran do?" Sakura answered defiantly,
" You wouldn't
believe me if I told you." Defeated, Devyn stood up and
slowly walked
away digesting the conversation and the few bites of lunch she
had eaten. |
