Prologue: Sakura's Secret

*When will I tell him? I really should. But after that, will he accept me?* thought Sakura as she brushed her now shoulder length hair.
*I mean, I want to tell him the truth, but I can't. Not now.*

"S-Syaoran? Can I tell you something?" Sakura asked.

"Anything Sakura. What is it?" Syaoran replied. He seemed to pause, and seemed un-certain. He seemed un-easy.

"Ummmm. Well, I... I... I love you!" she blushed and ran away crying. Syaoran didn't see the tears running down her cheeks.

"I love you too." he smiled his rare smile. After he could no longer see her, he sighed and returned to his lunch.

"I hate myself!" Sakura cried. She had stalled at the moment that she was about to tell Syaoran... And now she was running away from him. Tears fell from her emerald eyes. At least Syaoran hadn't seen her cry. He would have made a big fuss over her, and then she would break his heart. It would be more painful for him.
*Tomorrow I'll tell him.* she promissed herself.
Tomorrow her terrible secret will be revealed...
