FF VII: Interrupted by Fireworks

*Special!* Eriol and Tomoyo, Did You Really Think It Was That Easy For
Them To Get Together?

GOMEN-NESAI!!! I KNOW, I KNOW, VERY LITTLE CHAPTERS FOR
MY FANS (IF I EVEN HAVE ANY DUE TO THE FACT THAT I AM A
BAD WRITER), BUT IT'S THE SAME REASON FOR ALL THE OTHER
FANFIC WRITERS (THAT ARE MUCH BETTER THAN ME):
HOMEWORK! ANYWAY, I'M DOING THE BEST I CAN, SO SUCK IT
UP, AND WAIT!

Author's Note: Yes yes, I am sorry to the Eriol and Tomoyo fans

(i.e. Susan-chan) not to enjoy the E+T moment. I have realized that just
BLOT and saying that they are together is not enough. So I, DandyBell5
(Amy Ng) have decided to make a *special* for the very first (and maybe
last, maybe......) time. This happens during December before the Christmas
Fantasia, and etc, but after the big wholabaloo fight. I know this is a
Sakura
and Syaoran website, but you have to admit, Eriol and Tomoyo make a
wonderful couple.

---
It was a brisk morning, and Tomoyo's violet eyes opened to see the
cold and crisp sunlight. Then she looked at an open closet that was filled
with beautifully designed costumes. "No more adventures for Sakura to wear
those fantastic costumes.........." Tomoyo sighed. It was Sunday, she had the
whole day off to herself. Sakura and Syaoran were on a date, but Tomoyo
figured that Mei was doing her job, so she didn't need to worry. "Yep, I
have this day all to myself...................." Tomoyo's eyes flickered a
glint of a
tear, "All to my.........lonely self............." Sonomi was in a
conference, and
she really had nothing to do. Tomoyo decided to take a walk. She went to
her wardrobe of beautiful dresses.
"Hmmmm," she said as she picked out a satin violet dress. The dress
matched her eyes. After breakfast, Tomoyo walked out of the gates and
headed towards Penguin Park. As she walked, little soft snowflakes fell. As
it landed on her hand, it felt cold, but very friendly. Tomoyo's lips curved
slowly, forming a smile. Her thoughts wandered, and fell on the word of
loneliness. Tomoyo dropped the snowflake, and her face was just dull.
"Ohio gozaimase Daidoji-san!" a voice called. She looked up seeing a boy
with glasses and a cheerful smile. He was holding some groceries. "Ohio
Hiirigizawa-kun!" Tomoyo greeted back.
"What are you doing in the cold alone like this?" the boy with dark
blue (in my opinion, he has blue hair Susan-chan, I don't care what you say,
it's my opinion that he has dark blue hair!) hair. Tomoyo's face faltered.
The
words cold and alone rung in her mind like echos. She shook her head and
answered, "Just taking a walk." Eriol noticed that she wasn't cheery as she
was usually, and that her hands were shaking a little because of the cold.
"Would you like to joing me for tea?" he aksed.
"Yes, I would," Tomoyo accepted. Both of them walked towards the
large cottage. On the way, it was complete silence. The only sound was the
howling wind blowing. Tomoyo was shivering a little. She didn't expect it to
be that could this morning. Then she felt something wrap around her. It was
a coat. "Here, Daidoji-san, you see cold, so borrow it while we're on our
way," Eriol smiled.
"But, won't you be cold?" she asked sincerely.
"No, I am used to the cold. While I was in England, it was much
colder there, so you don't need to worry," he replied.
"Arigato (thank you)," Tomoyo said. After a while, they reached
Eriol's home. The crackle of the fire in the hearth heated the large lonely
house. "Where is Akizuki-kun and Spinel?" Tomoyo asked.
"Nakuru is off chasing Touya, and Spinel is glued to a book," he
replied. Eriol offered a chair for Tomoyo, and she accepted it gracefully.
He
went to the kitchen to get the tea and snacks. Meanwhile, she looked around
the room. "How warm and friendly," she whispered, but had an uneasy
feeling that the warmth and kindness was only a mask. Eriol came back
pushing a cart with many delicasies. "Hiirigizawa-kun, you didn't really
have
to make all that just for a small tea!" Tomoyo exclaimed.
"I guess I over did it. I usually spend my spare time baking now.
Maybe you can take some over for Cerberus," he replied.
"Here, let me help you," she offered.
"No it's okay," he said.
"There's a lot of dishes, I'm helping," Tomoyo insisted.
"All right," Eriol gave in. She stood up to help him. Hiirigizawa-kun
has certainly baked A LOT for just using his spare time...... Tomoyo thought.
Once or twice their hands brushed, but they quickly apologized to eachother
in a kind manner. After a few minutes, Tomoyo was sitting comfortably in a
big chair sipping tea. "Isn't it lonely to live in such a big house
sometimes?
With Akizuki-kun always chasing Touya, and Spinel would mostly be
reading......" Tomoyo asked.
"Speak for yourself Daidoji-san. Shouldn't I ask the same when your
mother is always in a conference and that all your other friends have plans?"
Eriol laughed.
"Gomen-nesai (sorry), I shouldn't have been so forward into intruding
your life," Tomoyo apologized.
"It's all right," he smiled. What a warm smile.....so calm and-her
thoughts were cut off when she saw his smile beginning to fade when he
looked towards the window. He seems unhappy for some reason.....Maybe
I'm interupting him from his busy scheduled day.......Tomoyo pondered. "Is
there something wrong Daidoji-san?" Eriol asked.
"No, no, nothing is wrong," Tomoyo smiled. Eriol drank his tea, but
took a glance at Tomoyo while the teacup was blocking his face for her to
notice. She was carefully nibbling on a bisquit. Through those thick glasses
of his, he saw a pair of beautiful, eleagant violet eyes. However, those eyes
seemed to be filled with sadness and depressing. They weren't sparkling
with happiness, instead, it was anticipated with longing, desire, and
loneliness. He placed down his cup, took a cupcake and took a big bite out
of it. So this is how my snacks turn out.....Instead of being made with joy,
it
was made with loneliness..........Lately, I've been spending most of my time
in
the kitchen cooking. Even Nakuru was complaining that I have made too
much food. Daidoji-san seems to be well, but is she really?......Eriol
thought.
He finished the cupcake, and threw away the wrapper. Then he distinctedly
heard a surprising giggle. "Hm?" he wondered. It was Tomoyo. She was
laughing. "What is it Daidoji-san?" he asked.
"Your lip......it has cream from that cupcake you ate.....," she kept on
giggling.
"Oh," he started to laugh a little.
"You look like you have a white mousetache!" she laughed. Both of
them laughed. It filled the room with joy. This was the first time in a long
time have they both heard this warm laughter from eachother. After tea, Eriol
escorted her to the door. "It's been a pleasure haveing you for tea
Daidoji-san," Eriol said.
"Same for me Hiirigizawa-kun," she smiled. While walking from his
house, Tomoyo didn't feel so cold anymore. She felt warm, and cheerful. I
guess this wasn't sucha a lonely Sunday after all...........she thought. Next
day, they all went to school, same routine: Syaoran is Mr. Punctual and
arrives at school VERY early (god knows when), while Sakura is rushing
through breakfast, and Tomoyo is walking across the street. Yep, today is
Monday. I am walking across the street to school.......alone.....she
thought.
"Alone," she whispered. Her face went pale (if it was possible, sorry to the
Tomoyo fans, especially Susan-chan), and her eyes became bland. "Daijobu
(are you okay) Daidoji-san? You look pale," a voice came.
"Nani?" Tomoyo wondered turning her head from left to right, and saw
Eriol in front of her instead.
"You seem to be off today," he said.
"Oh, gomen, I didn't see you. I could've bumped into you," she
apologized.
"It's okay. If you don't feel well, you should stay home," Eriol
advised.
"I'm all right. Don't worry. Right now, if we don't speed up, then
we'll have detention," Tomoyo forced a smile. They continued to walk. That
smile was a lie. What is it with Daidoji-san? She seemed as cold and sad
like yesterday before we had tea.....I wonder how she was like before she
placed on that cheerful mask of hers.....Eriol thought. "Hiirigizawa-kun!
Haiyaku (hurry up)!!!" she shouted. His thoughts were cut off, and he looked
up in surprise. Eriol ran across the street to join up with Tomoyo. "Really,
are you trying to think of a mind twisting plan, or are you trying to give
your
brain a nervous breakdown by thinking so hard?" she said worriedly.

"What do you mean?" he asked.
"I am worried about you. Ever since the battle, you've been like a
brainless git. You always think, think, think, and furthermore think. What
are you trying to do? Rot out your mind?" she scolded. Eriol's eyes
widened. Someone had actually worried about him besides the guardians he
created. When Eriol was little, he raised by a prestigious family. However,
his family was always away to complete missions, and he was surrounded by
servants and maids. Suddenly, his eyes went out of focus. "Huh?" he
wondered.
"Geez, did any of my words get through to you?" Tomoyo said as she
held his glasses.
"Gomen-nesai (sorry)," he apologized.
"I missed your warm smile. You're gonna end up like Li-kun and have
lots of wrinkles with the many frowns you have on your face!" she giggled.
Eriol smiled. Finally, I can see a warm smile from him for once....Tomoyo
thought with glee. When they arrived in class, they were REALLY late.
Gasping for air, they both apologized and went to their seats. "I wonder what
happened that made them so late," Sakura whispered to Syaoran.
"They always arrive here before we do, I don't know," Syaoran
replied. During lunch, they all sat under a tree to eat. Syaoran preferred
to
sit on the treetop to eat (heck, usually he's always found on a treetop).
"Tomoyo, what made you so late?" Sakura asked.
"Gomen, it was my fault that she was late," Eriol said.
"Eriol, what did you that made both of you late?" she asked.
"I bumped into him, and we both decided to walk to school together,"
Tomoyo replied.
"I don't see how that could make you late unless you were REALLY
slow," Sakura said.
"In the middle of our walk, Hiirigizawa-kun was in deep thought.
Nothing even got through his thick skull," Tomoyo smiled warmly.
"Hiirigizawa-kun, are you plotting some twisted uncanny plan in your
head," Syaoran said from above.
"No Li-kun, I was not," he replied with utmost manners (I wonder how
polite Eriol can get.....only Susan-chan would know that).
"Then what was it?" Tomoyo asked. Her eyes were wide open with
curiosity to learn what a wizard would think in his mind. Greeeeaaaat, I just
had to be in deep thought, and be late. If I tell them, then
Tom-....Daidoji-san would get the wrong idea. I was just worried about her,
like a friend like Sakura would, even though Sakura failed to notice the
depression of her good friend-again his thoughts were cut off when his eye's
focus became blurry. "See what I mean? He's sitting there like a mindless
zombie," Tomoyo sighed as she held his glasses..........again.
"Gomen, I guess I was in another deep thought..........." he apologized.
"Aren't you always in deep thought?" Syaoran said.
"Syaoran! Don't be rude!" Sakura shouted with her teary puppy dog
face that god knows who can resist it.
"Gomen," he said quickly and blushed. Eriol laughed at the scene.
After school, he decided to go to the music room. "It's been a long time
since I've played........." he said as he felt the smooth ivory keys. He
began
to play Yoru No Uta (Song of Night). The notes that Eriol played were soft
and sweet. As he played, he thought, of moments of his past: Alone, being
raised by servants, alone, learning magic, alone, shouldering the memory of
his past life (Clow Reed), alone. The word echoed through his head. He
poured out all his loneliness into the song. Suddenly he heard singing from
outside. The words were the lyrics to the piece he played. The voice was
melodious as an angel, yet gentle as a mother. It blocked his mind out of his
deep depression. As the song ended, the beautiful voice slowly faded away.
Eriol stood up and opened the door to see Tomoyo. However, she was
leaning backwards on the door, and she fell on him. "Itai........" Eriol
groaned.
"Gomen-nesai Hiirigizawa-kun!!! I was just passing by and heard
someone playing. I didn't want to disturb you, so I stayed outside, and I
couldn't help singing with the melody, and-" she apoligized.
"It's all right," he smiled.
"Daijobu(Are you hurt)?" she asked.
"Do not worry, I am fine," he said. They both stood up, Tomoyo
laughed. "Nani(what)?" he asked. Eriol's glasses her hanging off of his
ear.
Tomoyo placed them back on properly, brushed his hair out of the side, said
goodbye, and left. Eriol's heart skipped, but he ignored it. I wonder if
okasama's (mother's) hand was that soft.......he wondered. The week ended
quickly, and so comes Sunday again. Syaoran and Sakura, is on yet another
date, however, Mei was too lazy this time and didn't bother to follow. Touya
and Yukito are working their butt off to make a living. Nakuru, as usual was
plotting to snatch Touya's heart (for the ten billionth time), and Spinel was
helping Eriol with some cooking instead of digging into the books. "I am
alone again..............." Tomoyo sighed, thinking that her mother is on
another
conference. "What is the use to have all this splendid luxury when you are
all
alone................." She decided to visit Mei, hoping that she would be
home
instead of taping Sakura and Syaoran's date. Surprisingly, she was home.
"Hello Tomoyo!" she greeted cheerfully.
"You're awfully cheerful today," Tomoyo commented.
"That's because Yukito and I are going on a date next Sunday!" she
gleefully smiled.
"Good ofr you. I just came to visit. Everybody's doing something
except for me...." Tomoyo sighed. Suddenly, the doorbell rang, and Tomoyo
stood up to get it. Surprisingly Eriol was standing there with a bag in his
hand. "Oh! Daidoji-san, I didn't know you were here," he said.
"I was visiting Mei because I didn't have anything to do," she smiled.
At least she is happy today and not like last Sunday......he thought. Mei
went
towards the door and invited Eriol in. "Are just bored, or is there something
evil lurking around?" Mei asked.
"No, Spinel and I were baking some cupcakes, and thought you and
the others would like some," he said as he handed her two bags, "One's for
you and the other is for Syaoran." Then he dug into his bag again and took
out another smaller bag. Unlike Syaoran, who would thrust the bag to
Sakura, Eriol simply hande it to Tomoyo. "Arigato (thank you)," she said.
"Why don't we all go out for some lunch?" Mei suggested.
"Sure," Eriol said. They grabbed their cloaks and headed out the door.
They walked towards a small shop where it served little appetizers. It was
called Delicacies. They seated themselves as they waiter came to them.
"Tsukisiro-kun!" Tomoyo exclaimed in her small and gentle voice.
"Konnichiwa (hello)!" he greeted.
"For some reason, I think this is the reason why Mei chose to eat
here," Eriol whispered to Tomoyo's ears. She giggled and agreed. Mei
ordered three hot chocolates and the Variety Of Small Sandwiches (VOSS)
appetizer. Mei looked at her watch and exclaimed, "Oh dear, I have to go to
my part time job......I'll pay the bill, you guys can enjoy." She rushed
out the
door giving Yukito a goodbye kiss. As they ate, Tomoyo began to looked out
the window seeing snow falling on the streets. Her eyes saddened at a
thought, yes it happened a long time ago when she was little. Eriol looked up
seeing Tomoyo's sad expression.
