A.N. Hello everyone. I'm back with the next chapter. I really appreciate everyone for writing to me or reviewing my story. I really didn't think it was that good and didn't expect so many people to like it. Well I'm just finished with my first rounds of exams in college and I'm pretty sure I bombed but oh well. Nothing I can do about it now, but I can at least write this story to help me feel better. This chapter though may not be too good since my inspiration is slowly starting to ebb away.

Getting out of the taxi, Li Syaoran looked up at the apartment building so reminiscent of the ne that he lived in eight years ago. He was finally back in Tomoeda and it felt good being back. Picking up his bags he entered the building and walked to the office. He knocked gently on the door and waited patiently to be admitted. From inside the office came a muffled voice saying, "Come in."

Upon entering the office he noticed the clutter of papers sitting on the desk and looked at the old woman seated behind the desk. Bowing politely he introduced himself, "Hello, I'm Li Syaoran. I think that you should have an apartment for me."

"Ah...Li-san, yes I've been waiting for you. My name is Morimoto Ayame. I believe there has been a change of plans. You will no longer be staying here. I believe you are going to be staying on campus in a dorm run by my daughter. If you'd like I'll take you there in a few minutes," the old woman said smiling at the handsome youth.

"Ah...if it's no trouble to you. Domo arigatou"

"It's no trouble at all. Just wait there a few minutes while I finish reading over this page. Oh, I almost forgot. Here's a letter that has just arrived for you this morning." Morimoto informed him fumbling around her desk looking for the letter before finding it and handing it over to Syaoran. Syaoran took the letter from her and opened it. He scanned over the contents and thought, "I really need to do something about jie jie interfering in my affairs." The letter read:

Dear Xiao Lang,
We talked to mama and she agreed to let us move you to an on campus dorm. We thought it would be best for you if you lived on campus because it'll be easier for you to meet people. If you stayed of campus you'd probably just go to class and then go home to your apartment and you can't meet anyone like that, which means you can't find Sakura-chan. Oh yeah, we also signed you up for the university's soccer team and kendo team. Your tryouts are next week. We wanted to sign you up for certain classes ourselves but mama said that you were old enough now to decide for yourself what to take. Your things have already been sent to your dorm. Have fun in Japan and we want to see you back here in one year with Sakura by your side. Meanwhile you better write and call to us sometime.
Your family,
Li Fuutie
Li Xiefa
Li Fanren
Li Feimei

Noticing that Syaoran had finished reading his letter the old woman got up from her seat and asked, "Are you ready to go?"

"Hai." Syaoran answered as he picked up his bags and followed the lady out of the office. They walked a few blocks before they entered Tomoeda University's campus grounds and had to walk several more blocks before they reached the dorm Syaoran was to stay in. Entering the dorm Syaoran saw several people lounging around on a sofa in the reception area watching TV. He looked around and thought it looked like a comfortable place, but his eyes widened as he saw several females leaving from the living quarters and decided to ask Morimoto-san about it, "Anou...why are there so many girls coming in and out of this dorm?"

"Oh this is a co-ed dorm. There are many young ladies living here as well as many young men. Though I'm sure the girls in this dorm will be thrilled to see that such a handsome young man will be staying with them."

Syaoran blushed bright red at the compliment. No matter how much he tried and no matter how many years passed he still got embarrassed easily. Of course the thought of living in a dorm with several girls didn't help him either. He groaned inwardly as he noticed some of the female occupants of the room eyeing him appreciatively. This was going to be a long year.

The lady brought him to another office and entering without knocking she introduced him to her daughter, Morimoto Hikaru, a young woman with short brown hair and brown eyes. She was rather plain looking but she seemed really nice he thought to himself.

Expressing her pleasure of having gotten a chance to meet him, the old woman left as Syaoran thanked her for her help. Morimoto Hikaru smiled at him and suggested, "How about I take you to your room and introduce you to your roommate now. I believe your things are in a storage closet right now. We can move them out later if you'd like."

Nodding his head in agreement as he picked up his bags once again and followed Hikaru-san down several corridors and arrived at a door that contained the on the name plate, Li Syaoran and Christian Mauler. Hikaru knocked on the door and from inside a voice called out in slightly accented Japanese, "Coming." The door opened revealing a handsome young man that was about the same age as Syaoran. The young man was a few inches taller than Syaoran's, 5'10". He had short neatly combed dark brown hair and ice blue eyes set in a pale face.

"Ah Christian, I'd like you to meet your new roommate, Li Syaoran. Li-kun is also a foreign exchange student, but he is from China. Li-kun, I'd like you to meet Christian Mauler. Christian is from Germany. I'm sure the two of you will get along great. I have some other work to do so I'll leave you two now." Hikaru said and left.

Christian smiled at Syaoran and extended his hand, "Pleased to meet you. I'm sure we'll get along fine. By the way you can call me Christian. Would you mind me calling you Syaoran-kun?"

Syaoran looked suspiciously at the boy's outstretched hand. There was something about this boy that disturbed him. He was sensing some power emanating from the boy, but he could not place what the power was. It was certainly not any power that he was familiar with and that disturbed him because the power felt dark. He shrugged of his suspicions and thought that possibly the boy did not know he even held that power. Reaching his hand out he shook Christian's hand, shrugged, and stated in nonchalantly, "Call me whatever you want."

Moving to the empty desk he set his bags down and looked around the room. It was tastefully decorated but in what to most people would have seemed to be rather gloomy colors. Blacks and dark blues and greens dominated the room. To Syaoran it was just another room. "Well what do you think?" Christian asked him.

Syaoran merely shrugged and asked him, "So which areas are mine?"

"Well you can take that bed over there," Christian told him pointing at the bed sitting on the right side of the room. "In the mornings it lets in a lot of light and I'm not really a morning person. I hope you don't mind. Oh yeah your stuff is in the storage areas right? Well let me go help you."

"No thank-you." Syaoran replied icily. They guy may have seemed nice but he wasn't about to spend more time with him than he had to.

"Oh don't worry. It'll be no trouble at all." Christian told him. Seemingly oblivious to the intense glare directed his way, he moved towards the door and started making his way to the storage closet. Once there he looked around at the things there and stated, "Wow. You must really like books."

"Not really," Syaoran mumbled picking up a box and moving towards his new room. After Syaoran left the room Christian began looking at the books and smirked, "So the little wolf likes magic does? How amusing. Too bad he would never comprehend REAL magic." Picking up another box he left the room.

It took the two only ten minutes to move all the boxes into their room. Once the boxes were moved into the room, Christian left saying that he had some business to attend to. Syaoran merely shrugged and felt relieved to be rid of the boy and began arranging his books on the shelves.

Finally done he laid down on his bed and closed his eyes. In his head he tried to picture what Sakura would look like now. An image of a beautiful girl with long brown hair, sparkling green eyes, and a graceful figure entered his mind. He smiled as he thought about her. He could almost feel her gentle pink aura reaching out to him and wished that he could see her right then.

Sitting up he shook his head and thought, "Well I better register for my classes," and left the room. Picking his way through the corridors he found himself in the reception area and asked a girl sitting there where the register's office was. The girl gave him a sickeningly sweet smile and gave him directions to the place, fluttering her eyelashes and apparently trying to flirt with him. Syaoran coldly thanked her and left the following the instructions the girl had given him. Behind him he heard the girl make and indignant sound as he left. Clearly she had gotten the message that he wasn't interested. Syaoran smiled wistfully. He realized how cold he acted towards girls but he had never really been interested in any of them before he met Sakura and after he met her no girl seemed right. No girl seemed to capture his attention the way Sakura did so he acted cold towards all of them except for maybe Meiling. He knew that because of that many of them speculated about him, whether he was gay or if he already has a girlfriend. But he didn't care.

Getting to the register's office he entered and registered for several classes and put himself down for a computer engineering major though as he ruefully reflected he wouldn't really need it. The head of the Li Clan really didn't need a job but he supposed that he should know a skill. Reflecting upon what he skills he might need to run the Li Clan he also signed up for several management classes.

Having finished registering, he left the office and began walking around the campus trying to aquatint himself with his new surroundings. Walking around he noticed a group of people gathered around. Curiosity getting the better of him he walked up to the group to find out what was going on. Reaching the group he noticed a familiar boy standing at the center of the group. The boy was apparently telling some story to the gathered group. Suddenly a girl with long brown hair put up in a braid walked up to him and yelled, "Takashi! Stop telling those stories."

"Demo, Chiharu-chan my stories are true really!" the boy replied.

"Hai...hai." the girl said grabbing the boy's collar and dragging him off as the group looked on amused.

Standing at the back of the now dispersing group, Syaoran smiled. Those two hadn't changed a bit since he last saw them. He wondered if he could become friends with them again. He hoped so. He had missed his friends in Tomoeda especially a certain green-eyed beauty. Sighing softly he continued his solitary tour of the campus.

Sakura walked leisurely to her dorm. As she approached her dorm she started feeling a familiar presence. It felt like Syaoran's aura but she told herself it wasn't, it couldn't be. She didn't want to get her hopes up for no reason but her heart would not listen to her mind's prompting and insisted he was close. Closing her eyes Sakura attempted to try to locate where his aura was coming from, as she felt it she started walking in the direction that her instincts pointed her. She was pulled out of her reverie as she suddenly bumped into someone and dropped her books. "Gomen nasai! I wasn't watching where I was going." She apologized quickly as she bent down to retrieve her books. The person bent down also and picked up several books for her. As she stood up the figure handed the books to her.

"Iie. It was my fault. I'm really sorry. Let me make it up to you." the boy told her.

"Oh no it was my fault. You really don't need to." Sakura said looking the boy directly in his ice-blue eyes.

"It's no trouble, since it was my fault. Let me at least take you out for ice cream or something. It really will be no hardship for me to treat such a lovely young lady to ice cream. Oh by the way my name is Christian Mauler." Christian told her as he gently asserted his will upon her.

Sakura blushed at the compliment. She really had originally planned to just go back to her dorm and study, but finally deciding that a snack would be nice she assented. "Okay. My name is Kinomoto Sakura."

"Great. Shall we go, Kinomoto-san?" Christian said offering to carry her books for her.

"Un." Sakura replied as she graciously accepted his offer to help carry her books and the two walked off to get some ice cream.

Over a week had passed since Sakura had first felt Syaoran's aura but she never saw him so she assumed it was merely her imagination. Despite missing him and wanting to see him badly, she couldn't help but feel happy. She had made a new friend in the boy she had bumped into earlier. Christian was very nice and went out of his way to see her sometimes. She wondered why he would do something like that, but dismissed it as him being a nice person that just wanted to become friends with her.

Sakura was currently sitting in her Calculus class trying desperately to understand what the professor was teaching, but failing miserably. Over the years she had gotten better at math, but still she struggled in the subject. As the bell to end the class ended the professor began handing out their last tests. Getting hers back Sakura looked dejectedly at the D on the exam. She had really tried really hard to study and understand the material, but it hadn't seemed to help. As she packed up her books and prepared to leave Professor Shido called her up to his desk. "Kinomoto, I notice that you are having some trouble with my class. I know you try really hard, but have you ever considered getting a tutor."

"Hai, but I just don't know where I can find one." Sakura replied with a sorrowful look.

"Well, I just asked one of my new students from another class to meet me here today. I think he will be here in a few minutes. He just transferred here from Hong Kong I think, but he has no friends here, or at least no friends that I know of. He seems rather lonely but he is excellent at math. Maybe he could tutor you and in exchange you could introduce him to some people. You are a rather popular girl."

Sakura's heart beat faster at the mention of Hong Kong. That was where Syaoran was from she thought. As the professor mentioned about the boy tutoring her in exchange for her introducing him to all her friends, Sakura looked at Professor Shido with a look full of hope, "I'd be happy to introduce him to people. Do you really think he'll tutor me?"

"Well we'll find out now. Here he is." Professor Shido announced.

Turning around to look at the boy that she hoped would tutor her Sakura's emerald green eyes widened as they met a pair of amber eyes. "Syaoran-kun..." Sakura whispered as she stared at the tall handsome boy in front of her in disbelief.

"Sakura..." the boy whispered just as shocked.
