A.N. Looks like the last chapter was a success at giving everyone
cavities. This chapter is even sappier. I’m not sure how much I
like this chapter though. Thank-you to everyone who wrote me or
reviewed this fic. I’m glad that so many people like it. Some
notes, to the person that commented about Terada-sensei and Rika
getting married, I’m just trying to keep as much to the original
as possible. In the anime Rika had a crush on Terada-sensei and
in the manga they were actually in love. Also for you Christian
haters I’m afraid you’ll see him in this part and you’ll hate him
even more and I assure you by the end of this story you will want
to tear him to shreds, but he is important to the plot. Thanks
for all your support!

Syaoran could not believe it! For over a week he had been
wandering all over the campus during his free time looking for
Sakura and it turned out that she was staying in the same dorm as
him all the time. No wonder he had felt her aura close to him so
often. He wanted to bang his head on a handy wall in frustration,
but barely refrained himself. Now he understood why his sisters
had insisted that he stay in a dorm, a co-ed dorm at that, though
he wished they had been kind enough to inform him that Sakura was
also staying in that dorm. He could just imagine his sisters in
his mind as they laughed maniacally at him for not discovering it
sooner. He sighed warily over his sisters’ meddlesome nature, but
he thought wryly, “I suppose I should thank them.” With a long
suffering look Syaoran turned to Sakura and suggested, “We better
stop standing here like idiots.”

Sakura shook herself out of her shock and nodded cheerfully.
Syaoran was staying in the same dorm as she was. That meant that
she could see him even more often! Now she understood what her
heart was trying to tell her all this past week. Syaoran had been
close to her all this time but she had just never realized it.
Sakura couldn’t wait to tell Tomoyo. She had a second chance now,
but she wondered if she had the courage to take it. Sakura looked
at Syaoran, as he seemed to be giving her an anticipatory look.
“Hoe?” Sakura said confused as to why he was looking at her.

“Well you’re going to have to show me the way to your room.”
Syaoran said looking at her wondering what she had been thinking
about.

“Hoe? Hehehe...oh yeah. I’m on the top floor. Come on.” Sakura
said as she looked down sheepishly. Baka, she chided herself. Now
he probably thinks you’re an idiot. Keeping her head down trying
to avoid staring at Syaoran, she led him to the elevator and
pressed the button for the top floor. Once on her floor she led
him down the corridors to her room.

As Sakura opened the door yelling, “Tadaima.”

“Okaeri nasai.” Tomoyo said coming to the door to greet her best
friend. As she pulled the door open to see the young man standing
behind Sakura, she gasped in surprise. “Oh, you have a guest.
Would you like me to leave the two of you alone?” Tomoyo asked.
The young man with Sakura looked strangely familiar to her. As
the young man his head turned around to face her, Tomoyo realized
who he was. “Li-kun! You’re back! That’s wonderful.” she
exclaimed.

“Un.” Syaoran replied.

“Come in. Why are you back? You left so suddenly and all.” Tomoyo
asked looking at him with one of her trademark knowing looks
though she could guess his reason for coming back.

“Err...I just like it here in Japan.” Syaoran answered nervously
as he blushed and glanced at Sakura. He knew that Tomoyo’s sharp
eyes would certainly pick up on the glance he stole at Sakura but
by the look she was giving him he knew that she knew. Tomoyo had
known that Syaoran was in love with Sakura before Syaoran had
even realized it himself.

“Oh is that so?” Tomoyo asked innocently as she glanced at
Sakura’s confused face. Despite eight years of growth Sakura was
still as innocent and naive as ever and that was why Tomoyo loved
her so much. Syaoran’s blush deepened as he caught her tone of
voice. Smiling sweetly Tomoyo told the couple, “Well I’ll leave
you alone now. I’m sure you two have a lot to catch up on and I
have to go meet Soujiro.”

“Soujiro?” Syaoran asked looking curiously at Tomoyo. Sakura
hadn’t mentioned that Tomoyo had a boyfriend. Syaoran had always
thought that Tomoyo would always stay with Sakura looking after
her. One reason Syaoran felt assured of going back to Hong Kong
was because he knew that Sakura had people other than himself to
protect her and look over her. He could guess that the dark-
haired girl would always look after her best friend, but even so
he supposed that even Tomoyo would move on and find someone.

“Un. Ogata Soujiro, he’s one year above us.”

“Ogata Soujiro, he’s the captain of the kendo club right?”

“Un. Well I really must go now. It was really nice seeing you
again Li-kun and I hope you’ll come back and visit us often. Ja
ne.” Tomoyo said as she left closing the door behind her softly,
leaving Sakura and Syaoran alone together. She grinned
mischievously at the thought. I hope they tell each other soon,
she thought.

Tomoyo left and Sakura blushed a deep red as she realized she was
alone with Syaoran yet again. She certainly didn’t mind spending
time alone with him, but she just wished that she could stop
blushing. Finally trying to break the silence that had descended
over the two after Tomoyo left, Sakura asked, “Umm...so when are
you free?”

“Eh? Err...well I’m not doing anything on Wednesday afternoons
like today and every other day I’m not doing anything after six
in the evening.” Syaoran replied as he thought, “Or at least I’m
not doing anything anymore since I’ve finally found you. When are
you free?”

“Ahh...well my schedule is similar to yours. I get back by six on
most days except for Fridays. I don’t get back until seven on
Fridays because I have a chemistry lab on Fridays.
Anou...Syaoran-kun?”

“What?”

“Anou...when do you usually eat lunch. Because well I usually
have lunch with Tomoyo-chan, Soujiro-kun, Yamazaki-kun, and
Chiharu-chan, around eleven and I was wondering if you’d like to
start having lunch with us. I’m sure everyone would love to see
you again and it’ll be just like old times. But if you’re busy
then or don’t want to, I understand.” Sakura told him as she cast
her head down not daring to look at Syaoran afraid that he might
refuse.

“I’ll have lunch with Sakura-tachi.” Syaoran told her smiling as
Sakura looked up at him her eyes sparkling brightly. “But right
now we better decide when we can meet. I think Wednesday
afternoons at this time would be good, but do you want to meet
any other days?” Syaoran asked while praying silently, “Please
say yes.”

“Un...Wednesdays are fine and if it’s not too much of a bother
for you can we also meet on Monday and Tuesday afternoons?”

“Un. That’s fine. But why don’t we go ahead and get started
today? What are you having trouble with?”

“Everything.” Sakura replied sadly.

“Well then I guess we’ll start at the beginning.” Syaoran said as
he moved towards the small table sitting by the window. Sakura
followed Syaoran and sat opposite him as they both pulled out
their calculus books and Syaoran started to explain to her all
the fundamental theories. After he finished explaining all the
basic things to her he re-explained to her how to do things like
taking a derivative and then the two started on their homework.
They worked in silence for about thirty minutes when Syaoran
reached out to grab an eraser to fix a mistake as Sakura reached
out to grab the same eraser. Their hands met and the two looked
at each other for a few moments before both quickly withdrew
their hands and looked down shouting, “GOMEN!”

“Ah...you wanted to use the eraser?” Syaoran asked nervously as
he picked the eraser up and handed it to Sakura. He could still
feel the warmth of her hand on his. It felt so good and
comforting, he wished he could hold her hand again. Although he
was eighteen years old he still got flustered around girls
especially Sakura. His face was tinted a deep pink as he glanced
at her from beneath a fringe of brown hair.

“Ha...hai...” Sakura stuttered, “I was having some trouble with
problem number fifteen.” She could still feel the gentle pressure
of Syaoran’s hand on hers and it felt good.

“Do you need my help?” Syaoran asked.

“Un.” Sakura replied as Syaoran got up from his seat to move over
to her side of the table. Peering over her shoulder he looked at
the problem trying to figure out how to help her. Sakura felt her
face heating up as she felt Syaoran’s warmth next to her. He was
so close.

“I think I’ve found the problem,” Syaoran said softly. Sakura was
so close to him, he was surprised that he was thinking clearly
enough to figure out the problem. Her hair smelled so sweet, he
thought to himself. Just like cherry blossoms.

“Honto?” Sakura asked excitedly as she turned around to face him
and her lips collided with his because of their close proximity.
Both their eyes widened in surprise as blood rushed to their
faces and they turned away from each other, again yelling,
“GOMEN!”

Her lips tasted so sweet Syaoran thought, as he licked his lips.
Trying to regain control of his emotions and thoughts, he
concentrated again on the problem. Pulling his chair up next to
Sakura’s he began showing her how to do the problem.

“Arigatou.” Sakura told him after he was finished explaining. The
two worked together side by side until seven when they finally
put their books up. Stretching Sakura turned to Syaoran as he
began packing up his books and asked, “Ne Syaoran-kun?”

“Hai?”

“Anou...you said you lived in this dorm too, right?”

“Hai.”

“Well do you mind showing me what room you are staying in? It’s
okay if you don’t want to. I know you wouldn’t want me to come to
your room and bother you a lot, but I promise I won’t bother
you.”

“I’ll show you where, I’m staying and if you need help with
anything you can come ask me.”

“Honto?”

“Un.”

“Arigatou!” Sakura shouted cheerfully as she reached over and
hugged him impulsively.

Syaoran blushed as she hugged him, but felt could once she
released him he felt cold. Having finished packing his things
Syaoran asked Sakura, “So do you want to see it now?”

“Un.” Sakura replied as she got up. Syaoran got up with his bag
and opened the door. The two left the room closing the door shut
behind them and led Sakura down the hallway and around a corner.
Finally reaching his door he unlocked it as from inside the room
he could hear his annoying roommate saying, “Oh you’re back
Syaoran. Maybe you could help me with my homework.” Syaoran felt
the door being jerked out of his hands from the other side as
Christian appeared at the door smiling brightly.

As Sakura saw the door open she exclaimed in astonishment, “Hoe?
Christian-kun you’re Syaoran-kun’s roommate?”

“Sakura-san! I didn’t know that you knew Syaoran. Come in please
Christian said moving aside and grabbing Sakura’s hand to pull
her in, but blocking Syaoran’s path. Syaoran glared at seeing
Christian being so friendly with Sakura and grabbing her hand.
But other than that he didn’t say a word but followed in behind
them.

“So Sakura-san how do you happen to know my roommate?” Christian
asked, “But I guess it’s not a surprise that he would know the
prettiest girl on campus considering he is surrounded with so
many girls usually.”

Syaoran glared at Christian as he noticed Sakura blushing at
Christian’s compliment. He couldn’t believe the jerk would tell
Sakura about all those annoying girls. Trying to divert
Christian’s attention from Sakura he answered the question
himself, “I’m her tutor for math.”

“Honto?” Christian replied still not taking his eyes off of
Sakura. “Sakura-san if you needed help you could have come to me
too, you know.”

“Arigatou, Christian-kun, but I wouldn’t want to be a bother to
you and Professor Shido recommended Syaoran-kun to be my tutor.
It’s also been a while since I’ve seen Syaoran-kun.” Sakura
replied, blushing at Christian’s attention to her.

“Oh so you know, Syaoran from before? I thought Syaoran came from
Hong Kong though. How would you know him? Are you two related or
something?”

“Iie. Syaoran-kun and I are old friends. We went to school
together in fourth grade.”

“Honto? And I thought he was new here.” Christian said as Syaoran
continued giving him his glare of death wishing that he would
just leave Sakura alone.

“Ah. I have to go now. Tomoyo should be getting back soon and
it’s my turn to cook dinner. Ja ne, Syaoran-kun, Christian-kun.”
Sakura said getting up to leave. Christian’s attentions were
starting to make her feel uncomfortable.

Syaoran just nodded to her and moved to lead her out, but
Christian intercepted him and followed behind Sakura himself
saying, “Ja ne, Sakura-san. Please come visit us anytime.” Before
closing the door and turning around to face Syaoran’s glare.

“So you and Sakura-san have known each other a while, huh? So how
close are you two?” Christian asked putting on a cheerful face.

“None of your business.” Syaoran replied gruffly.

“I guess you two aren’t that close then. That’s good that means
that you won’t mind me dating her. Do know what type of guys she
likes?”

“No.” Syaoran replied coldly as he turned his back on Christian
and walked into the bathroom to take a shower.

From behind his back Christian narrowed his eyes and smiled
menacingly as the whispered under his breath, “So the little wolf
likes the cherry blossom too, huh? Well no matter I always get
what I want and some brat will not get in my way.”
