Chapter 8
* I am sooo lucky! * Tomoyo thought excitedly. She clicked on her video
camera and scanned his apartment slowly. As she looked near the dining
table, she saw a piece of paper lying there. She ran over to it and
picked it up. It read:

Dear Maid,
I will be at a friend's house today. The money is on the table. You can
reach me at 555-337-3782. I will be home by 3:00 p.m.
Syaoran
P.S. If I am not there, I will be asleep in my bedroom. If so, do not
bother cleaning the house.
Tomoyo read it over again. She slowly crept back to the bedroom. She saw
Syaoran raise from his bed and walk out the door. Even though any one
could see her, Syaoran walked right past. He jerkily walked out of the
apartment and started to walk down the street. Tomoyo curiously followed.
