I also want to say that I created a new character in this chapter too so they belong to me too.

The Test- chapter 3

~Later that night~

"So where did you live before you came here?'' asked Sakura.

"I lived in the U.S. I was chosen from the American Field Service. I actually come from a Chinese culture, but my great grandparents moved here from Hong Kong'', said Rose, "When I told my mom I was chosen to go to Hong Kong my mom was so happy." And then she gave a fake laugh.

She only hoped that they would believe that. She heard about this from her mom.

Li was still frowning. Rose glanced at Li and said, "Li. How come you haven't spoken a word all night? What's the matter?"

"Nothing", Li said with a suspicious voice.

"Well we better get unpacking", said Sakura.

~The next day while Sakura and Li were in their classes~

"Hmmm. Where is this Keroberos guardian? Lets see", Rose whispered.

Then she took out a necklace with a pendant on it. She pointed it in all of the directions then it pointed to Sakura's table. She went closer then it started glowing a bright blue color and then looked at the stuffed toy.
Hmm. He said to get him with sweet food, thought Rose.

Then Rose took out a cookie. She waved it in front of Kero's nose and then put it to her mouth.

Kero just sat there. Then he gave a big grunt and then snored loudly.

~A couple of minutes later~

Lets try this again.

Rose did the same thing.

Kero resisted.

Rose thought she should go to even more extreme measures this time just in case Kero was still asleep.

She took out a cup and put a spoon in it. She scooped out a spoon and waved it in front of Kero's face.

Kero couldn't take it anymore. He licked his lips and ate it.

"Mmmm. Mmmm. Pudding", said Kero.

"Finally. I tried to do this a couple of minutes ago, but you were sleeping. You snore really loud for such a small guardian", said Rose.

"What do you want? Huh. How did you know about me?" said Kero.

"Well, let me explain who I am first. I am the card mistress for the Evolutionary Cards and a test giver", and with that she had a tear come into her eyes.

"What are you talking about?" asked Kero.

"When two people like each other, and they have magical powers, they are given a test- a test to see if they are worthy for each other. I was given a test too. His name was Aaron. If you don't pass, the consequence is seeing your love die and you have to be the test giver. He saved me from dieing, but I couldn't save him", said Rose, "Unlike the Clow Card's 52 cards, The evolutionary cards have 63."

"What happened?'' asked Kero.

~Flashback~

"C'mon. We can do this. We just need to concentrate", said Aaron.

"We don't have enough time to chant or do anything though", said Rose.

"Just try though", said Aaron, "I'll keep it distracted while you use a card"

"Okay."

Then Rose took out a card. I read "The Time".

Then she took a wand that looked like a light yellow stick with wings at the top.

Rose chanted:

Time card of the evolution
Lend me your power
Give me strength
To freeze the time
Release!

And then she tapped the card

Then to Rose's horror, the time card didn't work.

Rose said, "Time Card, return"

By then the monster was squeezing Aaron.

Then Rose took out two more cards. They read "The Fight" and "The Invisible"

First, she used the Invisible Card then Rose chanted:

Invisible Card of evolution
Lend me your power
Give me your strength
To make us invisible
Release!

Then, she tapped the card.

Then she chanted:

Fight Card of evolution
Lend me your power
Give me your strength
Grant your power to me
Release!

She tapped the card.

Then, she kicked and punched while being invisible (Aaron was invisible too)

Eventually, the monster let go of Aaron. Aaron was gasping for air. Then they ran. The monster's eyes glowed and then it started blasting beams of electricity at Aaron and Rose.

They dodged every one of the beams. But then as Rose was getting up a beam was heading for her. She got hit on her hand. She winced in pain, and then Aaron ran over and helped her up. Another blast was headed for them. Aaron ran in front of her. She got up and tried to get in front of him but it was too late. The blast hit him.

"Aaron no!!" said Rose, "I can't lose you."

Then Aaron fainted. She took out a card. It read "The Heal"

H-heal Card of evolution
Lend me your p-power
Give me y-your s-strength
Heal Aaron

Then, she dropped to her knees. She was too weak.

Then she fell to the floor and she saw the monster aiming another blast at Aaron. She got up and crawled over in pain to Aaron, but then the monster got to Aaron first. The next thing she knew, he lay there, not moving, not breathing He was dead.

"No Aaron."

Then, she picked up Aaron's lifeless body. She laid him down gently and then lay down on his chest.

"No. I loved you", she whispered.

~End of flashback~

By then, Rose was sobbing and crying.

~In Sakura and Li's class~

BRINGGGG
"Class is dismissed", said the teacher.

"Sakura. I need to talk to you. About Rose", Li said.
