Weskyuwin Great Pyrenees - the Past

WESKYUWIN Perm. Reg'd is western Canada's oldest Great Pyrenees kennel with Champions in Canada, the United States and at International shows. We are active in Pet-Facilitated Therapy programs bringing our dogs to care facilities where they are an integral part of the wellness program for seniors. We believe strongly in public education and regularly participate in school programs, youth groups, and at regional pet fairs providing accurate information on the breed, its characteristics and care.

Ody was our first born at WESKYUWIN. She has left her legacy in her offspring and continues to be influential in our plans for the future. Ody produced multiple group placing progeny including the group winning - Am.Cdn.Ch. WESKYUWIN JONSAN SHADOW BANDIT TT. She was the Number 1 Great Pyrenees bitch in Canada in 1981 winning a record-breaking Best of Opposite Sex wins at Great Pyrenees Boosters and Specialties. Somehow we just couldn't get past the boys...

Awarded the Versatility Excellent title from the Great Pyrenees Club of America, Kaber was a registered Therapy Dog with the internationally reknown DELTA SOCIETY. The first Great Pyrenees from Canada to be so awarded. He was our greatest breed ambassadour. The photo is of Kaber's Veteran Dog win at the GPCAmerica Regional Specialty show.

Judge was a tremendously powerful and impressive show dog. He finished in the USA in the Top 10 Pyrenees with his greatest win coming at the Brush Prairie, Washington shows - a Working Group placement over 700 dogs! Judge's get have followed his lead with a grand-daughter recently winning Best of Opposite Sex from the classes at the GPCAmerica Regional Specialty show.
