Ice Maiden
Angel boy had learned to love again
She could tell as she looked into his eyes
The old familiar shine
And so it’s midwinter in her heart
The snow is falling and ice
Protects her from getting hurt ~ getting hurt!
Now she’s too cold to dream
About having a little faith to believe
In miracles that happen on Christmas Eve
He walks on slowly by
White is the colour of his innocent face
But he’s off on his own to his distant place
His old familiar shine
The snow settles on his head of gold
Like a halo of white around the sun
Before night stories are told
But he’s sold ~ he’s sold!
And she doesn’t have the courage to sigh!
She’s crying now
Watch her tears flow onto meadows
Filling with sadness
Heart is melting
No more ice and stones
She wants to be alone
So she can dream his old familiar shine again

Although Zofia and I went our different ways a few years ago,
I still like her work enough to give it a mention...
