For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go.
I travel for travels sake. The great affair is to move.
What you've done becomes the judge of what you're going to do ~ especially in other people's minds. When you're travelling, you are what you are right there and then. People don't have your past to hold against you. No yesterdays on the road.
When I was little, I used to go to the Travel Agent alot and collect their brochures. Then I'd come home, cut out all the pictures of the places I wanted to visit, write their names on the back and put them in a bag. Pathetic? Probably. But when you're floating into shore and you see an ancient Greek Acropolis, or you're standing on a mountain thousands of feet high and taking in the view, it really doesn't seem that sad anymore... ~g~
