THE LAW OF THE KINGDOM
A law shall be established with the direct purpose of teaching men to live
in peace, obeying the principles of righteousness. The law will not permit the
success of the wicked, nor the persecution of the poor such as we have in
every nation on the earth today. The law will set in motion a situation
wherein the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.
- MIC 4:2-4 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us
go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and
he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall
go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge
among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat
their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall
not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. But
they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall
make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.
Therefore Christadelphians believe:
XXVII.--That a law will be established which shall go forth to the nations
for their "instruction in righteousness," resulting in the abolition of war to
the ends of the earth, and the "filling of the earth with the knowledge of the
glory of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea."
