Fable no. 2

Once upon a time there was a father and three sons.

The eldest said to the father "Father, please give me your blessing for I want to go in search of fortune."

The father answered "I will miss you a lot, but you have to do what you will have to do."   So he blessed him and the son set off.

On his way he met a very beautiful lady.  She said "Where are you going my good man?".  "I am going in search of fortune."  "Look no further, for you have found her.  You can have all the money your heart desires, you can have all the women you want.  You can have all the gold and castles you wish for...  the only thing you have to remember is that, from now onwards you can only say these words and nothing else, to anybody you meet, or who asks anything.

"Which words?"  The lady answered "Open your nose."  If you say anything else you will die.

"Perfect" said the young man.  The lady said "Your fortune starts now...  Remember, or you will die."

So the man became rich, and very, very happy.  That was an easy task.

In the meantime, the second son also decided to set off in search of fortune.

So as the first one, he asked his father for his blessing and set off in search of fortune.

On his way he met the beautiful lady his brother met before.

"Where are you going my good man?"  "I am going in search of fortune."  "Look no further, for you have found her.  You can have all the gold, money, women, castles... if you say only these words,

"It was the day before yesterday."  You can only say these words, if you say more you will die.

"Very well" said the young man.  So he became rich and very very happy.

In the meantime the third son decided to go in search of fortune.  As the first two brothers, he asked for his father`s blessing and off he went.

On the way he met the beautiful lady the first two brothers met earlier.

"Where are you going my good man?"  "I am going in search of fortune."  "Look no further..."  and as she said to his brothers... she gave him the magical words to say "It was all the three of us..."

So even the third brother became rich and very very happy.

Unfortunately to them, one day all the three of them witnessed a crime.

The police was enquiring and questioning every one in order to catch the killer.  Some people pointed up to the three brothers "They saw everything.  They saw everything.  They know who it was."

So the police approached the eldest brother "My good man have you seen who committed this crime? Did you see who shot this man?"  He answered  "Open your nose."   The police said "What?  Do you understand what we are asking.  Who killed that man?"  He repeated "Open your nose."

The police gathered that he was stupid so they walked on towards the second brother.

"My good man have you seen who killed that man?"  The second brother answered "It was the day before yesterday."  The Police man said "Yes.  We know that, we want to know the man who killed him.  Can you describe him?"  The second brother repeated "It was the day before yesterday."  Once again the Police gathered that the man had to be stupid so they walked towards the third brother.

"My good man have you seen who committed this crime?"  "It was all the three of us."  "O" said the Police, "We found OUR KILLERS."

Fable no. 1

Once upon a time there was a couple (for those who do not understand the meaning of a couple - a husband and wife).

They loved each other dearly and were loved by all the neighbourhoud.

Unfortunately to them, the woman was very very beautiful.

One day a chief army inspector (we shall call him this way because I do not really know the hierarchy of the army, obviously my mother would have given a very nice name, but unfortunately she is not around these days, therefore this name must do), as I was saying, a chief army inspector met her and fell madly in love with her.

From that day he had no peace, so he decided to approach the woman and declare his love.  The woman told him that she was very much in love with her husband and she would never love anybody else but him.

The chief army inspector wasn`t able to take a "no" for an answer, so he decided to plan a way of getting her.

Although the couple were of the utmost honesty and seriousness, he  found a way of imprison her husband and charge him with a death sentence.

The woman was stunned and petrified for what had happened.  She didn`t know who to turn to in search of help, so she decided to go and see the chief army inspector.

He tried to lure her into his bed but to no avail.  The woman was firm about her loyalthy towards her husband.  As she was going out, he stopped her and said "I know that you do not want me, however if you sleep with me tonight, tomorrow your husband will be free. Only one night, I know and I accept that you do not want me."

The woman went to see her husband.  She told him what the chief army inspector asked.  Her husband replied "Save your love.  Tomorrow I will be killed anyway."

The woman made her decision.  She decided to sleep with the chief army inspector and save her husband.

In the morning she heard noise outside.  It seemed noise of soldiers marching.  She approached the window and saw a plotoon of soldiers who were taking her husband to be decapited.

She asked and pleaded the chief army inspector.  But he said "Your husband will die today, my dear."

So the woman lost her husband and her honour and self respect.
