About the RPPS

The Rockaway Park Philosophical Society was formed by three friends in 1971. Its mission is to spead the true philosophy expressed in the Fullosia. The Society says it exaults the mundane and ridicules the exalted in conformance with the teachings of Rene Chateau Briand who scorned philosophers who prattle about life but don't know how to act in a dime store."   • Bill Gates found guilty in Socratic determination

    Reminescent of Socrates found guilty of corrupting the youth of Athens, Bill Gates was declared culpable of forming a monoply by stiffling creativity and thwarting innovation.. Anyone capable of reading this message knows how untrue those charges are. The problem with Bill Gates' competitors is that they aren't competent enough to make a comparable product that anyone would want to buy.

      Perry Terrell of Perry Terrell Publications, the noted literary (not-on-the-book-shelves) editor of PTP Pubs reports that Sean Michael Rice, one of the PTP Writers and Literary Family Members has had a number of literary successes. Sean Michael Rice's plays are being presented by Theatre-Studio in New York City (Illustration and Coffee Time). Mr Rice's short story "Drive" has been published by Rockford Review.

      Perry was the recipient of the RPPS Beleaguered Philosopher Award in 1996 when several months of jury duty forced PTP to suspend operations.

      Phil Wagner of The Iconoclast writes that his book Marlowe in the South Seas has been taken up by Cove View publishers. A special discount will be offered Iconoclast subscribers.

      Marlowe describes the journey inward of a returning Vietnam Vet coming home. Phil has told me that perhaps the conclusion is not so much that "home" is a physical state as "a state of mind."
