Recently when I was sick and out of school, I was flipping through channels on TV and I turned on HBO 2. There was a movie called "Six String Samurai" on. At first I laughed and figured it would be some wanna be Independent film. Then I got into it. It was great. It's the story of a guy named Buddy, who is traveling across the post-apocalyptic U.S.A., hoping to get to Las Vegas so he can become the next Elvis Presley. With his six string spanish guitar and his samurai sword. Followed by death himself in a Slash-Looking outfit with an electric guitar and 3 bow and arrow weilding comrades, Buddy must fight, run, and protect a kid that refuses to leave Buddy alone, so the kid follows Buddy through the worst of things. Buddy is portrayed by Jeffrey Falcon. You may say "Who is that?" Well I don't blame you. It's his first acting job ever. He co-wrote and starred in the movie. I was impressed by his acting job, especially for a new comer. I hope to see him in other things soon. The movie has great sets, costumes, fantastic music, and grabbing story as well. The only annoying thing about the movie is the kid. Alot of his lines are just him screaming, and it gets to the point where you want Buddy to just chop his damn head off. Since this movie is not very well known, I'm not sure if you could find it in video stores. But hey, give it a shot and look for it. I loved it and it's worth a couple hours of your time.
