I met Howie at the Easter Day Parade in Orlando on April 7, 2001! he is
such a sweet guy...first of all, the VIP passes were only $10 and all of the
money went to the Dorough Lupus Foundation! if you bought a VIP pass, you
got to go into this special area and meet Howie, his sister, and other
celebrities! when my friends and I got in line to meet him and the other
"celebrities" (just basically radio DJ's), he had said that he was only
gonna stay for about 10 more minutes! but the line kept growing and growing,
so he stayed to sign ALL the autographs and take ALL the pictures! that was
very very very sweet of him so stay like 30 minutes longer than he planned!
so anyways when we got to the front of the line, I was freaking out inside,
but outside I was trying to stay as calm as possible! he was very casual, he
said "hi, do you guys want a group picture?" I siad, "sure!" so we all got a
group pic (I'll send it in as soon as I get my scanner set up!) so after
that he signed our autographs and talked to us about different things, like
what school we went to and stuff. since he grew up in Orlando, he knows
almost all the schools here! he even knew the school I go to! WOW! lol! well
after that, we went and met all the other people, and then we decided that
we wanted to get individual pics! so we went back to Howie and were like
"can we have individual pics w/ you too?" he said, "oh...you want INDIVIDUAL
pics, eh?" and sorta laughed! so we all got our pics with them, he was SO
sweet, putting his arm around each of us!
