Chapter Eight

“Well, after the Make-A-Wish Foundation contacted us, we remembered your letter and put two and two together, so… here we are,” Nick said, concluding the story of how the Backstreet Boys ended up in Regina’s hospital room.

“Wow. I still can’t believe you guys came. Can I… do you think I… could get your autographs?” Regina asked timidly.

“Sure,” Brian said. All the BSBs came over to beside her bed, and Regina held out a pad and a pen cautiously, as though she didn’t really believe they would.

After they finished signing autographs, they continued to talk to Regina, Regina’s mother snuck up and took a photograph, unbeknownst to everyone else in the room.

Nurse Hamilton could see Regina was tiring quickly, so she hurried everyone out of the room. Suddenly feeling extremely drained; she laid her head on her pillow, and slept the deepest sleep she had ever felt.
