My love for the guitar did not come at an early age. It wasn't until I was a teenager that I realized the power of the guitar. In my hand I hold the way, the way to a better life, a way to a better place, and mainly a way to make me a better person. Over the years I have learned alot, most important is that gear cost alot of money, but thanks to my great wife I have been able to aquire alot of junk!! And thats not all, I have also learned that it is important to pass on some of what I have learned, I have had some great students and some not so great ones, but I still believe that I have a gift, a gift to play and that should be pass on. In time it will go on to my children and I will then pass on to them all of which I have saved, collected and borrowed, and they to will be music legends, if only in there own minds.
I have been playing for a little over 10 years, taught by someone who worked hard with me to make me a great player, even though sometimes I am not sure it was the right way to do it. But I learned and got better and better. I have played with some great bands and plan to keep playing for as long as I can, for ever if possible. So I say to all you young players out there, stick with it and don't give up and always remember that you will meet someone who is a better player than you so try to learn from them.
