Runway(the cat)Info!

Nanaimo Flying Club members may remember Runway. He is the black Manx cat that used to roam the airport, from the camper business in the South to the Airport Managers office in the North. He had a good home, at Cassidy Aircraft Maintenance. Bob Hogkins took good care of him and there was lots of food available through contributions from members. Bob however felt he needed a better home. I am happy to report that Runway is alive and well. Even though he makes frequent trips to the Vet to have some sort of infection taken care of he is a pleasure to have around. He is defensive of his property. Hence the infections from fighting any intruders. He cares not whether he wins or loses. Just get off the property. Through the photographs that we have I will keep the membership updated for all that are interested. The photo's below are from just one day in this character's life.

Runway spots a mouse in the fig tree!

He is determined to make the catch!

Now he has him at his mercy. Where did he go. The mouse dropped off the branch behind Runway and scurried off into the bushes, perhaps to make a meal for Runway another day!
