Lacy Granny Square
I made this square in two colours, but it would look just as nice in a soild colour.
small amount of 3 ply worsted weight yarn
Col A: light green
Col B: country bluesize 4.5 crochet hook.
With col A, ch 5, sl to form a ring
RDN 1: ch 3 (counts as first dc), 15 dc in ring, join with sl to first dc (16 dc)
RDN 2: ch 1 sc in same st, ch 3 (sc in next st, ch 3) 15 times, join with sl to first sc, finish off Col A
RDN 3: join col B with sc in any ch 3 sp, ch 4 (sc in next sp, ch 4) 15 times, join with sl to first sc. Finish off Col B (16 ch 4 sps)
RDN 4: with col A, rep RND 3.
RDN 5: sl in first sp, ch 1, 4 sc in same so and each sp around, join with sl to first sc (64 sc) Finish off col A
RDN 6: with col B, join with sl in same st as joining, ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in next st, ch 3, dc in next 2 sts, * ch 2, sk next st, hdc in next 2 sts, ch 3, sk next 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, ch 3, sk next 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, ch 2, sk next st, dc in next 2 sts, ch 2, dc in next 2 sts, rep from * two MORE times, ch 2 sk next st, hdc in next 2 sts, ch 3, sk next 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, ch 3, sk next 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, ch 2, join with sl to first dc.
RDN 7: ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next st, * 4 sc in corner sp, [sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next sp] 4 times, sc in next 2 sts, rep from * 2 MORE times, 4 sc in corner sl [ sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next sp] 4 times, join with sl to first st. Finish off, weave in ends.
